At least you are using a broom to clean your boiler. A friend of mine had a stroke of genius after a case of beer. He used his wife’s brand new Hoover. I was present for the chewing. I am sure I should be in counseling just for bearing whiteness. Excellent video. Have a great day.

I went with the G7000. We have a pretty decent size house and a garage. And then my wife's greenhouse.

PS: I’m a big fan of plastic buckets. Metal cans rust out. Same for equipment exhaust pipes. The classic coffee can cover is no good. Saying it because I had motor with flapper on it and still got water in the engine. Now I’m OCD big time. 👍🏼

I'm thinking about pressure washing my firebox because my E Classic 2300 has the open refractory and the water would just run out the lower burn chamber. What do you do with your circ pumps in summer? Some guys leave them run all summer, some guys shut them off, some guys say run them for one day per month to keep them in good shape. And Central Boiler says leave a light bulb on in the firebox all summer to keep condensation out. Never heard that before from friends and neighbors.

I wouldn’t wash one lol just clean it good make sure any ash is out. Test your water. I run my Circulator once a month same idea. Keep it moving and make sure pumps are ok. Never heard of the lightbulb. I always oil mine with fluid film!

What would happen if you let all of the water out does more water just go back in when It gets changed all out?

  • @richarddabkowski2896

If you empty out all the water you just need to fill it back up. It is expensive though pending on your water as you may need to add treatment too it which can get expensive if you have big units with 400+ gallons of water

You normally don’t drain the water. You’re gonna expose the inside metal to air and oxygen which you don’t want. Plus like Richard said it’s expensive to add the water treatment every year. If you treat your water correctly and keep it in check you don’t have to worry
