Outdoor Golf Simulator Setup with Foresight GC3 and Net Return

Спорт

We all dream of an indoor simulator with a cage and hitting screen. Today's technology allows for a very realistic (and data-accurate) version of simulated golf or practice. But what if you don't have the space? In AmateurGolf.com's case, we turned to our official launch monitor partner Foresight for guidance. Using a GC3 and a Net Return allows for golf to be played outdoors in a very small and safe space. The net goes just beyond the range of the club's follow through, and catches high, low, or sideways shots. And the data provided by the GC3, when coupled with a high resolution gaming monitor and gaming PC, brings the package together. It assembled in five minutes to move the key components in and out of the weather too. Check it out, and let us know if you need help with your setup. ‪@Foresight_Sports‬ ‪@aceindoorgolf3563‬

This is a great setup. I just built my sim so I can practice more. I don’t know why we don’t see more outdoor sims. I had room for a 10x10 cage with a 60 inch tv. I spent around 2500 all in. I leave the cage up and put everything else away when I’m done.

I’d like to know where you got the mat, and the greener around the net? Great video..trying to come up with ideas for patio and small backyard

Ace Indoor Golf. The Fiberbuilt Performance Mat is worth the investment. Heavy duty rubber base never moves or shifts and the hitting surface gives real feedback. Find it here: aceindoorgolf.com/products/fiberbuilt-rectangle-hitting-mat

I have a very similar outdoor setup and decided to add the Net Return impact screen to the net - which has added a few hurdles. Where to place the projector? If you're adding a screen & projector, you'll be moving further back, so you'll need side barriers. God forbid you sky it over the net, what do you do to protect that shot? You have no ceiling so what do you build/add above you? I'd be interested to see a part 2 of this video where you go back to Foresight & Net Return with that type of scenario.

Thanks for watching and for your comments. What type of setup do you have? Feel free to contact me using the contact link on AmateurGolf.com (under the "about" section) to continue the conversation. I have some ideas. I decided with my space there is no room for what you are doing, but I would like to explore a temporary setup so I can see just what it would take. Errant shots in the neighbors' yard is something to avoid - I agree!

I have a similar setup with a Spornia spg-8, sig pro softy & BLP. What do you do when it’s sunny out in terms of seeing the screens, I’m trying to find a solution

I typically play courses at sunset; my house has a nice two hour window when it's perfect. In the mid day or morning, I use the Foresight GC3 launch monitor only
