Tama Drums presents "Out of the Box and Onto the Stage". In this video, released in 1999, Kenny Aronoff, Mike Portnoy, and John Tempesta give step by step instructions on how to assemble, set up, and tune your newly purchased drum kit. As well as playing techniques and ideas for grooves. Although this was intended as a promotion for Tama Drums, this video should help setting up any drum kit. However, the drums and hardware will be different from the models shown.

So cool seeing this video again, it's been 22 years, I still play on my Rockstar kit that this VHS tape came with!
A nice walk down memory lane.
This was the video that got me started. I love all these guys but Mike portnoy stood out the most to me. He was my learning tree for years to come as I progressed in my playing. I will always be appreciative of this video.

@@ngkim1405 I go back watch it from time to time and still practice those ghost notes MP does on there. This actually led me into getting his DVD’s (Progressive Drum Concepts & Liquid Drum Theater)

I've still got the vhs!
I wanted to watch this video since I was a kid and saw it at the instrument store. At the time I didn't knew any English but still. Thank you very much man.
I have a Tama set either it’s a plain rockstar or rockstar custom and this is awesome I still have my VCR tape.
