I was at Iguana Entertainment, Inc in 1997 when i was 16 on my works experience when the original was being developed. My step dad was a programmer at the time he still programs and works for Ubisoft. Great times :)

Man that is awesome to be a fly on the wall of that studio. Some great gems from iguana.

That explains why a room is sometimes missing in the Dreamcast version. It was always the same room. I would have Mike running around, and then unexpectedly he starts falling into a bottomless pit. The room that was normally there was missing because it failed to load.

This game is an masterpiece. Many years ago I also did the out of bounds exploration using cheat engine. I mapped buttons so, that if I press them, cheat engine ads value to my current position and I teleport. The video is on my channel, if you want to see that. This game (original version) also has hidden option to enable development menu, which lets you choose levels etc. All you need to do is rename one file in game folder. I also have this video.

Now, if Karrot had said "If you can read this, you're probably Slippy Slides" I would've lost my mind.

Just found your modern RE stuff and I've always found these sorts of things fascinating. One of my favorite camera tricks is in the Ornstein and Smough fight in DS1 where the entire arena shrinks to make it look like Ornstein is getting bigger

@A B Genuinely that's much appreciated, it's great to know youself and others would be willing to support the channel in that way. I did have a Patreon page a while back but when I wasn't able to release content regularly, I couldn't justify keeping it open. It wouldn't have been right to do so. I'll like to see out of bounds in the original prey and the suffering on level zero. Edited: Level 0 is a bonus area after beating the suffering the only part you're allowed on normally is the pier.

I tried to get into this game, but I just couldn't put up with the stock version of the gun at the start. Too slow! It was so difficult to find upgrades for me too and the movement was kind of jerky... I wish I could get into it though because it seems like a bad ass game.
