Our WORST Day in TUNISIA! El Jem, Travel Vlog! اجانب فى الجم
Welcome to EL JEM!! We spent 2 days trying to get here and it was so worth it. The first day was pretty much a travel disaster, the train was cancelled, then we were sent to the wrong louage station...finally got to the 3rd and final louage station, and the bus was a fully booked...eventually we just gave up and came back the next day, luckily it was successful, we made it to El Jem and honestly had a great day exploring!

Great video. Unfortunately my memories of El Jem are being too hung over for all those stairs and it being a sun trap but we did get some great pictures. Having been to Sousse 3 times, I suspect I know what the cheesy thing is on the next episode but I won't ruin it.

Hello Matt, hello Molly. Good morning from Perth. Thank God February is the last month of summer. I hate it. Well my freinds slow and steady wins the race. You finally saw El Jem. I thought for a minute you were in Rome, when I saw that Collosum. I hope I spelt it right. What puts me of, when I treavel. Is seeing graffetti on walls. That is where Govts. all over the world, should say enough is enough. Take care, be safe on your travels.

If you want to travel there in the middle of the day with train, forget it. I travelled one time to Sousse with some friends and we take louages to go to Eljem because the guy told us that the train changed hour. The best way is louage. Their station is awful and some guy told us that they build a new one. Colisiom is the best.
Should have booked a tour.

Actually travelling on weekends and holidays is quite tough, there's also the bus that you didn't think of. Waiting for your vidéos in the south, you have to visit the Star Wars locations and Chott El Jerid,
You spoke about public transport more than eljem itself I don't think this is fair

Love Tunisia ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇹🇳
It is a station for transportation to major cities. It was more appropriate to move to the city of Mahdia because it is the center of the state, and from there move to the city of El Jem
You could have taking the Bus to el Djem
My dad's hometown. I used to go to upper most part of the coliseum to smoke cigarettes away from familiar eyes (family everywhere)

I was praying that you'd end up in a taxi or rent a car. Using louages and trains in Tunisia can be a headache if you're a newbie. Atleast you got to see the largest Colosseum in the world outside of Italy!
The journey deserves the try and if you rented a car for at least one day that would be just fine
Im going to Sousse soon. When I checked out the trains to El Jem they ran very infrequently so I'd only get about an hour there before having having come back. I'd already decided that travelling by Louage will be easier. It does seem a bit pathetic that it's not easy to get from a main city to major tourist area.

Be careful in Sousse. Some people may pretend to have meet you before (ex in the hotel ) in order to scam you
This is why you always need a local , you couldve taken the “metro” from sousse to mahdia and then louage from there to el jemm

Hi, your episodes in Tunisia is wonderful to guide for like the people who planning to travel there. I was wondering if the louage(specially in Tunis) runs very early in the morning around 4-6am. Trying to take a louage from Tunis to El Jem before 6am but there are very few details can be found about the louage…

Public transport isn't the best part about our country i'm afraid 😅 Sorry that you had to experience it the "hard" way but at least you did make it at the end and it was probably worth it 😁

Hello. I love your videos and the way you speak about Tunisia. I will give an advice: if you rent the whole louage the drivers will surely agree. You pay more, that's a fact, but neither the driver nor you wiould have to wait untill the car is full.

Not sure, public transport is limited. You should be able to take a minivan to El jem from tunis but there isn’t a timetable

The train you can take it from Tunis to sousse and then take a bus or louage or the metro to mehdia and a louage from mahdia to El jam A bus you can take it also from Tunis to sousse or to mehdia and louage to El jam See you will change the transport twice or more although the train ,metro and bus are cheaper than louage but louage is more efficient directly to mahdia and from there to El jam
Would yu like to visite thé 3 most beautful cave in thé World ? Its in Tunisia

for the record, nobody of any kind of means takes public transportation in Tunisia. If you have the option of a taxi why not take a taxi it is still dirt cheap!! I can tell you that public transport is for the desperate and poor only. You are neither! You want to do like the locals? cool! why do you insist on doing it like the Poorest of the poor though. There are millions of Tunisians who never take a Louaj or a group taxi. So I am struggling to feel bad for you! and I really like you and am a very empathatic person
