"Holy Crapsticks!" -- I'm dying. 🤣🤣🤣 This cruise and ship looks amazing! Viking is my parents' favorite cruise line, and I can now see why. Some day I will be on one, seeing those stunning views. Speaking of views, if you like those, you need to do an Alaska cruise. Equally breathtaking.

Hi Guys, would you say that Viking has the best food afloat? If not, which cruise line has the best food???

We are looking forward to our 30 day cruise on the Viking Sun beginning April 3 this year. We fly from the U.S. to Mumbai to board our ship which cruises the Arabian Sea the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, ending in Greenwich London. There will be 12 stops along the way with complimentary shore excursions at each port. We will stop at Alexandria and Luxor in Egypt. Will we need visas for Egypt ahead of time, or can we get them at those ports?

I'm thinking that the tapestry (+/- 5:15) is a reproduction of the Bayeux Tapestry.

It is, indeed, a reproduction of the Bayeux Tapestry. Starting on deck 6 (the uppermost deck devoted exclusively to passenger cabins) and working its way down to deck 2 each bulkhead facing the ladder is devoted to a section of the tapestry. Each section picks up where the previous section leaves off. You could line them up end to end and get the full tapestry. On deck 2 there's a small Viking heritage museum nook that features an annotated full length (but miniature) continuous reproduction of the tapestry

Viking cruises Ruined us. To any other cruises . We did the Grand Rivee cruise - 15day - of Europe & they worked with my electric chair as the river didn't care . It's a easy folding one piece unit . The Norway cruise looks so much easier .

Considering the price point, the food is no better than other cruise lines. Their afternoon tea sandwiches were awful, as were the cocktails, I told the barman he agreed but they have to stick to the way they do them. Pina colada was like a kiddies slush drink, P&O's are delicious. Maybe that's how Americans like them? No tea in the cabins. Evenings are dull, promised a waltz but band refused or couldn't, rock and roll? Nope. Nice ship and staff, just no atmosphere. I'm no drinker or party animal. The crow's nest was awful. We were the only British on board. Lectures, which I love, at 6.45pm, how stupid is that?

Very poor customer service with this cruise line. Unfortunately, one pays a premium to be on Viking, but their level of service is similar to a fast food chain. Disappointing on many levels.
