Sad to have missed your live! This was such a fun and informative video! I have two suggestions: 1. Buy the castle and turn it into a B&B for all of us to come and visit. And to go along with your B&B…2. You need to create a travel company to organize and provide tours for the people. You are both so warm, personable, particular-you guys would be the best and I know I would feel safe too. Just throwing that out there.
I'm so looking forward to the Italy videos. My family and I are going to Florence, Lucca, Rome, and Trieste (which we found because of Allesio of course!) in the beginning of May so I'll definitely be taking notes on your recommendations!
❤ love you both! Thank you for all your videos they make me so happy! Sending lots of love from Australia!
Please do a what we eat in a day/week in Italy or alessio’s home town. Love to see traditional foods in alessios home town in Italy
Where in Friuli are you from Alessio? My bisnonno is from Valvasone and my bisnonna is from Cevraia (Castions), between Pordenone and Udine. I was there in May of last year ... it was an amazing experience ... it was not my first time in this area; but, it was the first time I was there for more than a day or two. A cousin in that area, that I met on a prior trip, spent an entire day showing me so many wonderful things. My mother who was completely italian (but never really taught to speak italian), was raised in British Columbia, Canada (her fathers's family was from Valvasone/Cevraia and her mothers family from Tuscany) ... my father was from the hills of West Virginia (southern like Jessi) which made my childhood a combination of italian and southern Appalachian ways ... I really enjoy watching your videos and I wish for you and Jessi a wonderful life together.
Beef like we enjoy in the US is an event in Italy. It’s not even offered in most supermercati. Mostly, pasta, cheese, pork, chicken. It’s all good, but, where’s the beef? I suggest, again, you two find an affordable “castle” here in the US. We can grow so much here. The infrastructure is in place . No hauling water till plumbing is restored. Updated electricity for a/c or water cooler 1:10:40 when needed . Screens on windows to protect inside from mosquitoes and other flying insects.
Definitely Castle with a farm. At least the castle. I’d love to watch you renovate it . That would be amazing
thank you for your video! i also remember that funny video on your instagram account about a parisian waiter teaching a foreigner how to pronounce croissant correctly - i really loved it! you guys nailed it! and did any waiter or perhaps a sales assistant at any of the bakeries try to teach you to say croissant the right way?
I was in Paris one summer, it was very nice, even cool and rainy some days. It's the south of France and riveria that is really hot in Summer.
Oh wow😊
Oh I want to travel now!
This was great! Really enjoyed the chat and all your videos and recipes!!! 😊I have a question please, if you are still reviewing comments. My daughter will be studying abroad next year in Vicenza for 3 months. We are so excited for her!! We plan to visit as well. What would you recommend for how long we stay and any tips as we start to prepare her and us. We are Italian, but my parents did not teach us the language. I have us planned to try to use the app Babbel. Hoping that will be helpful. Thanks for your response!! 😊
Ina Garten said anything made with flower extract tastes like soap. 😊
I love macarons but rose can be very overpowering. Also, I’m a total macaron snob and my most frequent issue with them is being too sweet. It’s rare that I find a macaron place that I love. Also, you are totally right about the popular spots being mass-produced and then it loses its appeal. Have always been disappointed with any pastry/dessert that has been mass-produced.
You both love to travel and experience. I think you’d be going backwards to buy in Italy. I love Italy in many ways. USA just makes more sense
To add to your travel list: Castello di Volpaia in Radda, Sorrento, Verona ❤❤❤
Did you visit the Louve?

The Medici made the Macaroon? My family is Medici. My grandpas parents came from Italy and changed the last name to Medicis. My moms maiden name is Medicis. That was cool to hear. I don’t know a whole lot about our ancestors

@Jessi & Alessio ty both. Looking for a surprise vacation for me and my husband. So excited..
I wouldn’t like the rose or other flower flavors either. 🤮
