+A Catholic Turk. Actually Traditional marriage is the most important and is considered the official marriage and comes before Church Wedding. If her parents are real traditionalists, they'll require you do traditional marriage first with the important customary requirements. Church weddings are really not that important, and can be done down the road after you've been officially married. I am speaking from Igbo view point, but I believe it's true for most Nigeria tribes. Good luck.

They could sit back and say it was your choice and they dont want to take part in it because its not their tradition, but they totally did the best they could. It's funny how people always say crazy things like ohhh the white person won't blend well or understand the culture. Culture is complex in itself n oftentimes we ourselves may not understand everything in it & besides as long as there is love nothing is impossible. Race is not at all a determinant of a happy marriage clearly their love story is a perfect example that they were made for eachother n race/culture is blurred at this point that they are one

This is such a wonderful video. I first found you two when looking at pregnancy announcements. You two are what the world has desperate need to see. What I assume are your parents are right in there thoroughly enjoying themselves in what is clearly foreign for a German family. It's so beautiful to see two people from such different backgrounds and cultures entwine their lives so completely. May your child be a guiding light in obliterating hate in this world. I wish you all a long and very happy life together. Thanks for showing what we can do when we stop seeing how we're all different and embrace how we are the same in love.
