It makes me happy to see places like this still exist in the US. About 15ish years ago, there was a guy called Dave Gorman - from the UK:c called himself a comedian but was more of a presenter. Anyway, he made a program about small town America and about how the large corporations and big brands were muscling out independently owned stores (I know it's been going on for years, as do we all). He travelled across the States, looking for little family run businesses. It was quite sad and I wondered if he would follow it up, but he hasn't as yet. It's nice to see places like this still operating. Also,Stinking Bishop....😭😭😬😵😵😵

I live 17 miles from Tiptree, it’s the only jam allowed in our house and it’s a tradition to buy my parents a selection every Christmas. They also make special fruit liqueurs, which are delicious (although now I remember you don’t drink, sorry and big congrats on your sobriety).

Hi Natasha and Debbie, Im actually responding to the text overview of this video and Jungle Jim's. Just the way you wrote this shows how proud you are of what you have on your own doorsteps and just how much you want share the best of what you and your country have to offer. Its a nice change instead of American people massaging the egos of us brits. I'd love to see more of what you think makes your country great. Its nice to have some balance. Right time to actually watch and see what jungle jims is actually all about. Apologies for the long comment.

what's amazing is you chatting to these other shoppers so easily. You couldn't really do that in the UK, people are a bit more reserved over here and would be uncomfortable being so easy and friendly to strangers. Especially strangers filming them. We are chatty in Devon UK. I've always talked to people and help them if requested... Mostly cat keeping questions in the cat aisle, litters, trays, treats, training !! The older generation over 50s 60s up tend to chat more, we were brought up neighbourly and to look out for eachother. Not the same now. London is different now everyone too busy, stressy, angry, and a lot of languages .... Here people wave from the shopper bus, chat in the shops, older folk say hello if they are sitting in the high st and you walk by "looks like rain" etc ...

WOW! That's a lot of tea. It's more than we have in one store. To get most of those British items, we have to shop around, but how amazing is it you have every consumable under one roof? I wish there was something similar in scope and size in the UK. P.S. Great vid. 👍

Hi girls Deb from Wales UK here. Wow Jungle Jims is amazing. I love cooking and consequently I love food shopping for new and different ingredients to cook with, I would be all day in that shop, and I would spend a small fortune. I know Debbie loves to cook, so do you spend a lot of time in there? Great video keep up the good work Bye

Thank you! We don't go there often as we have smaller stores closer by and rarely have the need for international items. But we always have fun when we visit!

Just come across this video. You have a bigger range there of British foods than our local Tesco Superstore. I wouldn't know where to start. You should try the Hobnobs though. They are like a little drop of heaven.

This video was cool. You should do more videos of your local area! I also enjoy the videos where you try different foods. You should try international food from countries other than England though. I mean, you definitely have access to it 😂

WOW!!! What a great store, it makes me want to fly to the US from England just to shop there although I would have to pay out mega for excess bagage when going home. Jungle Jims should have a restaurant where each day serves food from different countries, that will promote their own products and keep people in the store for longer. They could also hand out recipe sheets of the food being cooked

Love the vid, has a sort of late night infomercial feel to it, but with added extra charm, for me, but I bet that place is creepy as all hell at night with those dead eyed animatronic all over the place !

Got more varieties of tea there than they even have at Betty's, the kind of Mecca of tea rooms in Britain. Was opened by a Swiss orphan Frederick Belmont (was orphaned at the age of 5) who essentially caught the wrong train when he moved to Britain and ended up in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and opened Betty's tea rooms in Harrogate. Has been there since 1919 and is now Betty's and Taylors of Harrogate, they merged with Taylors the tea merchant who make Yorkshire Tea.

Such mind boggling choices lol. I'll take one of each of the pastries, as I literally couldn't choose. Canned rattlesnake and alligator omg.

Talking of "jam", have you tried breakfast marmalade, an orange/citrus fruit preserve traditionally eaten for breakfast on toast. "Invented" in Dundee Scotland in 1797. They also do a ginger marmalade which has an interesting flavour. :)

Would have loved to see you both put a couple of hundred dollars worth of British food and treats through the register and give us a walk through of what you picked out - possibly with a follow up video of you trying them out.

Thank you both so much for this tour of Jungle Jim’s. This is exactly the type of thing I would love to see if and when I visit the USA. The obvious stuff like the Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore is an obvious must see, but places like this are the unheard unique experience you will ever see in the States. The place is insane and definitely worth a visit if you want to see the real America away from the obvious tourist traps. I had to giggle to myself when that lady picked up that huge flagon of Tabasco sauce for her husband, I thought she owned a restaurant. My god he must use Asbestos toilet rolls 😂.....Great video 👍🏻
