Yes! JP was nice too! We stayed there but only got one night couple years ago. Would love to go back and have more time to snorkel and everything.

I love Anastasia St Park back when I tent camped there dozens of times in the 70's and 80's. At that time anyway, the tent sites were just across the road from the beach and went to sleep hearing the ocean every night. Great place!

Just found your channel and subscribed. You are so right about Florida having some of the best state parks! Heading down soon and staying at one of our favorites, Curry Hammock. The only thing about the kayaking through the mangroves is to make sure you spray yourself with bug spray, those mosquitoes will bite through your clothes😂

Good vid guys. Topsail is a state preserve a little east of Destin at the western end of 30A. We love that park also. We really want to go to St Geo Island... have heard wonderful comments about it. Safe travels! bg

Anastasia is my favorite too, because I surf. It's by the beach but there are still plenty of trees so it still feels like camping in the woods rather than an RV parking lot.

awesome info... we are making the trek to sun and fun this year and want to explore fla after before heading back to pa. bucket list is a rocket launch at end of march. hopping to get a spot on ksc cg or Patrick afb cg if we cant what is close by st park with a view of launch.

I will agree with you on Anastasia sp but you failed to mention 3 others in the panhandle that are AWESOME and would be my #2, 3 & 4 picks! St Andrews & Topsail both have beach access and full hookups and Topsail has a pool! The other one is Henderson Sp. all awesome.

My sister lived in Jax for many years. The grove park area. She said she went to Saint Augustine a lot while she lived there and I always thought. “What’s so special about that place” now I know lol. 😁

Most average with all the fees around $30 - $35. Ones in the keys are little more. 😁

15 min from downtown St. Augustine from the state park? Maybe by bike. It’s like 4 min by car to the bridge of lions. I live just behind the alligator farm and surf at the state park. Thanks for the St. Augustine shoutout.

We have a video at Koreshan State Park if you look back through our older videos. We really did enjoy that state park a lot too I love the history there!!! We have not yet stayed at Highland hammock and that is on our list. It looks like a huge campground if I’m not mistaken.

Once we get the new RV we are going to plan our visit to the Keys. When are some good months to go?

We have an upcoming reservation at Anastasia, booked before we got our larger camper (now 30ft tip to tail) and I'm a bit nervous. Looks like not much room to swing wide. But the reservations are so hard to get. Suggestions on how to get there and avoiding I-4 through Orlando? We have site 111

Yeah it's the truck swing room that made it somewhat tough for us too. You should be fine i bet though. We usually go across state road 50 or through the country north of 50. Honestly can't remember the road as I'm following GPS LOL But we avoid I4 too. Don't like that road at all...

Ok I’ll try and remember to add that in the future. Most Florida state parks are around $30-$50 and the 50 is ones that are like in the Florida Keys. There are some that we’ve come across that are cheaper state parks to like $18-$20.

Good question. My guess is park ranger would probably make everyone leave as they’re locking up. I know the gates are automatic from the inside for opening.

They fluctuate at most state parks here in Florida average with all the fees about 40 to 45 a night

Yes we have never encountered a state park that doesn’t allow dogs. Some state Forrest parks do restrict them though.
