Beautiful shoes! I see a lot of haters commenting here. Gotta respect Kirby's hustle. While everybody was in lockdown shining their shoes at home pretending to be working, he was running his business and keeping his people employed. You don't have to agree with him, just let it go. Yes there are great shoes out there with similar prices, and I know they are great because I own them (Cobbler Union, Vass, Carmina etc) but he's reaching out and educating those who don't know where to find these shoes. How many of you haters go out there and buy $400 shoes just to try them out before scouring KZread for reviews? Yet you come here and hate on his content. Hate all you want just know that only like minded people will give your hateful comments a thumbs up and none of it will make you or your life any better. Thank you Kirby for sharing your passion and giving us a glimpse of what quality and luxury looks like!

Antonio Meccariello has an entry line starting at 355 EU, around 400 US. Believe me those shoes are superior to TLB.

You should offer the option of purchasing TLB’s shoe trees to go with. They are built on the Artista lasts and come in all sizes, so they fit the shoe perfectly (including the instep, where most trees fall short). They’re fantastic and really complete the shoes.

The Pepper Grain leather looks great. It looks thicker. How comfortable is it compared with calfskin.

Missed this, but look forward to you doing something like this again. I just ordered my first pair from this company this week (can’t wait). I started a customized boot with them also, but won’t pul that trigger until I get the other pair. I see me adding 3 or 4 pair to my rotation from this company.

I haven't seen anyone who watched this video post about their order if you did purchase and what was your thoughts about the shoes? I purchased the black cap toe oxfords. I love the shoes. Because of the shutdown I haven't had an opportunity to wear mine out. I have been wearing them around the house to break them in.

Quality similar.... difference primarily in the heritage and breadth of range, which Carmina has a leg on TLB.

I’m confused ... 425? On their website they are 400 at most for the artista collection. So what is the perk of ordering from you guys vs straight from Mallorca ? Genuinely asking because I was about to order a pair from TLB

Those are Euros. The cost after conversion is 450

He’s not joking. What else even approaches this quality at $400? AE isn’t close. The arch support alone puts this in Carmina territory, which is another hundred, and I can’t think of anything else that competes here.

Not joking. AE makes a good shoe, but they're typically a shoe valued in the $200-$250 range. Most people in the shoe business will tell you that AE is only worth the money when they are on sale. At full retail, you're better off buying Carmina or TLB.

@@drzaius844 I recently bought and can still buy with shipping a pair of Vass shoes directly from their website for less than $400 which include lasted shoe trees (usually $70+ alone). Vass is also hand stitched goodyear as opposed to goodyear machine welted. He also said a "good pair of goodyear welted shoes" and AE is a good pair of goodyear welted shoes, maybe not for $400, but still a good pair of shoes. Carmina factory seconds can be had in this range as well. I also own a Carlos Santos handgrade line pair of shoes and they are great too.

DC Miner1234 did you buy Vass direct? I have 2 CS handgrade MTOs on order now - their standard line is good but not great, but they are only $300 so it’s all good. I agree with you, if you can get Vass at 400 that is insane. They must be struggling. I won’t pay more than $275 for AE, they just aren’t worth even Carlos Santos standard line prices.

@@drzaius844 These TLB's are phenomenal, that said, there are other amazing options this price point. J Fitzpatrick... Sons of Henrey... Carlos Santos..handgrade... Loake... Ace Marks... Cobbler Union... Löf & Tung... & there are plenty of Carmina models for only $25-$50 more.. also, Scarosso makes some nice pairs but they are Blake stitch...just wanted to throw that out there

Higher instep than the 65 last. Similar in most respects with a slightly longer toe box

Agree with above commenter. Similar length, but higher instep than 65. Not super high, I’d say medium to medium high. AE65 is notoriously low, and an issue for me with a medium instep. I prefer My TLB’s on comfort any day.

Alright, so Kirby just jumped the shark. This is really just an 18:50 minute commerical for him to sell you something. He usually slips in a plug furtively here and there but this is a shoe commerical. I mean c'mon, an infomercial on shoes?

I'm not understanding the value of ordering through you-- a middleman--for $25 more than ordering directly from tlb Mallorca. Why is no one else asking this question. If I ordered directly from tlb they work directly with me to find the perfect fit and it's cheaper

I would not let that keep you from buying from TLB, it is not really an arch support. The leather on TLB is just cut close to someone that has a high arch and does not actually offer any support
