For the Taylor Swift Olivia Rodrigo convo, Taylor never sued her. Olivia, when promoting her album, talked in detail what songs and sections were inspired by Taylor and Paramore. It’s speculated that their team saw those interviews and reached out to tell her there are grounds for copyright infringement. Olivia’s team proactively gave Taylor and Paramore credit. To avoid this in the future, they advised Olivia to stop mentioning Taylor and Paramore or any other artistic influences. Other than that, Taylor has been rubbing me the wrong way with so many versions of her album to stay number 1. It seems more desperate and dependent on the Stan culture of swifties and consumerism rather than having the body of work be deserving of that title.

Taylor didnt actually sue Olivia, I believe it was just a rumor but all the backlash kind of forced Olivia to give credit to Taylor and her producer Jack Antonoff. Jack stated that they didn’t know of the credit change until after the decision was made!

omg on top of that, the other district 12 girl who haymitch was reaped with was the sister of the mayor's wife during katniss's books! so in the books, katniss actually gets the mockingjay pin from madge, the mayor's daughter, she doesnt get it from the market like in the movie. when katniss learns about haymitch's games and the connection, she understands more why madge gave her that pin and the connection to the revolution and also why madge's mom (the sister of the girl who was reaped) always has terrible headaches and is super sick (from trauma)

I want Amber to tell all the lore of the Hunger games cause I only watched like one movie and none of the books, she makes it sound so interesting!

Amber, you and other people think that this is all a planned scheme by Swift but she doesn't run her day to day business, she has management and record executives that make these decisions. Ultimately Rodrigo admitted that she did what she was accused of and had to give millions of dollars in Royalties to several artists including Taylor Swift. Why would she give away millions of dollars in royalties if she didn't do what she was accused of? What should Swift have done? Just say, go ahead and steal my stuff?
