Hey guys, We just want to apologize for not fully understanding the situation in Kashmir before visiting it. We realize after doing some learning that the issue is way more complex than we initially thought and we should have been better educated beforehand. We're truly sorry for any harm or offense caused by our lack of knowledge. Here's what we've learned so far: Kashmir is a region with a long and complicated history, with claims and disputes over its ownership between India, Pakistan, and some who believe it should be independent. There have been conflicts and violence for decades, causing suffering for many people. To be honest, after learning more about the situation, we think Kashmir should be an independent nation. The people there deserve the right to self-determination and decide their own future. We understand this is a complex issue with different perspectives, but we believe independence offers the best chance for peace and a brighter future for all Kashmiris. We're still learning and want to continue educating ourselves on this issue. We encourage you to do the same, and to listen to the voices of Kashmiris themselves. Moving forward, we promise to be more responsible and informed when discussing such sensitive topics. We'll do our best to research and understand different perspectives before making any statements. Thanks for your understanding.

Urdu originated in my state Uttar Pradesh 🇮🇳 😊 also Hindi and Urdu are sister language both have influence of Sanskrit and Persian Arabic respectively but all Indians who speak Hindi or Urdu can understand each other 99% but written forms are completely different. But All States have their own state languages for example in Gujrat = Gujrati Kerala = Malayalam Kashmir = Kashmiri Uttar Pradesh = Hindi/Urdu Tamilnadu = Tamil Maharashtra = Marathi Ladakh = Ladakhi Orrisa = Oriya Karnataka = Kannada W Bengal = Bengali Etc

Actually, it wasnt divided btw India and Pakistan. The decision was yet to be made by then King of Kashmir. However, Pakistan invaded Kashmir to take hold of the region forcefully. THAT is when the King of Kashmir Hari Singh asked India for help and military support and decided to become a part of the Republic of India in return. War broke out, Pakistani forces were pushed back. UN intervened and a Indo-Pak border was drawn. A part of Kashmir still lies with Pak. Also, might as well add there's hardly any difference btw hindi and urdu apart from the script. Urdu is an India language that finds it origins around Delhi area. People in Delhi and neighboring state speak urdu as well. Pakistan later adopted it as their official language.

6:50 Kashmiri people speaks Kashmiri language, Urdu/Hindi is just lingua franca there like most of India. Urdu and Hindi are sister languages, both are basically alternate versions of the Hindustani Language, Urdu has more Arabic and Farsi words and the script is Arabic while Hindi has more Sanskrit words and the script is Devanagari, but other than that they are virtually identical language. Also, I had a wide grin on my face when you guys were posing for the photoshoot in traditional kashmiri dress.

In addition there are huge root similarities between Kashmiri, Turkish, Farsi, Dari and other Central Asian languages. Kashmiri culture and people are more like Central Asian people unfortunately during the Colonization and post colonization those land Links to Central Asia and ancient Silk route have been cut:( Also this Pink tea what is commonly known as Nun chai the original name is Sheer chai and you can find this even in some parts of Tajikistan etc and know by the same name Sher Chai :) Also the giant trees u mentioned r know as Chinar Botanical name is Platanus Orientalis, originating in Central Asia you will find them in all countries and regions where the Turkic and Mughal people have resided

Kashmiris speak Kashmiri Language along with multiple Tribal languages. But, many are Bilingual to Urdu/Hindi. Urdu and Hindi are same spoken languages(almost). Only few words are different. Only difference between Urdu and Hindi is Writing Scripts - Hindi written in Devnagri script and Urdu written modified Persian script. Pakistanis can understand Indian Hindi Bollywood movies because both spoken languages are identical.
