I would say have multiple phones going and use your data. That’s what worked well for my parents and myself.

You have your app open before 8am and click on 'My Status' right at 8am. I've done this twice and got group 11 first and 12 yesterday.

If you’re looking for the time with seconds, on the clock app for the iPhone if you look closely the red secondhand is actually moving on the apps icon. So it’s an easy way to see time down to the second.

Oh my gosh lol this gave me so much anxiety and it was hard for me to not start jumping up and down when you showed everybody celebrating lol

OMG! All those people jumping up and down is exactly why Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth. Loved seeing that perspective from your video!

Such a fun video and Sarah its so good to see her in a video.

We did a timed watch, and we noticed at Disney world they released them a bit earlier than 7, I don’t know if our phone time was a bit slow or what, but we got boarding group 20! Keep up the great vids! We also did not have our app open, we opened it up right at 7 as when we tried second day with app open it froze, and we had to go out of app and restart it, and we got boarding group 51 that day

This was SO stressful to watch!! I don't know if I could do this. Just being that person unable to get in while everyone else around you is cheering, ooof! I'd collapse onto the ground into the fetal position and cry! LOL!

I’m gonna try and have a great day at Disneyland but there is pretty much no chance to get a boarding pass unless you stay at the hotel or you live near Disneyland

I love this ride. I rode it and it was amazing!

My palms were sweating just watching the Rise of the Resistance boarding process on the app!! I cheered when you got in. The drama!!

I could see myself in the part where you get an overview at the train station. My friends & I planned to get to the park by 7 but parking was so crazy. We didn’t even think we would get boarding passes since we were going through security at 7:56 but somehow we got in the park by 7:58 & got group 32!! Definitely the best to open the app at 8 🎉

For sure going to use your closed app tip when I go to Batuu East on Monday!

I was just at these locations from Jan 21 - 23 lol. Rise of the Resistance was great too! I also got the Tatooen Sunrise (I know I spelled that wrong)

I was there that day too!!! It was crazy, my brother and I got group 80 so we had to wait literally 10 hours, but it was such an amazing ride ❤️

elay12 I’ve seen people do this mainly, seems the beat way to go. Opening the app at 8 in my eyes from a software point of view didn’t make sense.

I was in the app at 7:59 this morning and I got group 45. It just depends who gets through or not.

From Australia Mon... in park opened app got 77 Tues...scan ticket back to hotel got 89 Thurs... in park at 1st Aid (Tower) got 66 opened app at 8.00.

@@Tabs793 We got on around 1 pm! The app crashed once on me right at park opening but it worked out in the end. Soooooo many people trying! I did notice for some reason, the groups boarded super fast on Sunday and they took all groups but Monday it was slow to board and they cut it off at group 114 around 7 pm.

All the vids I have seen are to be in the my status page and pull down to refresh which seems to be working the most consistently. It’s probably that too many people saw to hard open and with that many getting into the app that way it doesn’t load for so many people! Good luck everyone it seems all strategies point to a lot of luck!

Oh not just mine... might be a thing on your end. I only have 5 video that are considered "Children's" and that's cause I marked them purposely.

We do the same keeping out of the app but we enter then exit the park. Head to the courtyard outside the gates.

@@PatrickDougall Got towards the fountain. The bakery has fantastic wifi. I use that signal area. We've gotten 30 or under groups the last five times.

We are going during spring break at the end of March. I think we will try the three pronged attack like you did. We will see who gets the passes first.

Patrick Dougall not for us haha. Our pass has weekend block outs and we work during week days. So we personally can’t go. Hagrid’s coaster on the other hand...amazing!

They usually go upwards to 120+ but only up to 82 are guaranteed.

Does anyone know if people who have magic mornings have first dibs on boarding passes? or do they wait for the 9 o’clock hr? Ugh..so stressful ..thanks

You got a great boarding group we got group 121 on Saturday and they stopped on group 106 at 9pm. We didn’t have problems parking at the Toy Story lot and the busses were quick. Is it better to park at the parking structure usually?

I would suggest not to... the structure line was backed up to the highway. We ended up parking at our friends place residentially cause it was quicker for us just to walk.

Patrick Dougall Thank you. We were about to try to park there Saturday but we decided to stick with what we know at toy story. They had everything moving really well Saturday but Sunday we had to wait a little bit longer.

Must be careful with giving your advice as when I was waiting and getting a boarding group a lot of people around me were out of the app thinking this was the best way....while I was on the "my status page"......the people around me at 8am clicked in, but it was taking a while for the app to load...probably die to the amount of people logging on at one time....while they were waiting I just clicked My Status, Join Boarding group....and got Group 20.....the others around me finally got in after about 20 or 30 seconds and ended up getting groups 85 and 95.... So I personally had better results being in the app, but NOT at the Join Boarding Group page (ie NOT the page where youd need to refresh)... It's the page before which has the 'my status' button.

Yes! Everyone in your party can try. But once one person gets a boarding group everyone else in your party will get a “already in boarding group message”

Correct, any Boarding Group past 82 is not guaranteed.

How do you make sure you are in the same boarding group as friends/family?

My tip is to WAIT SIX MONTHS until this attraction has died down! So crazy right now...

Such a great ride. Has the Disneyland crowd accepted it yet?

I was waiting close to you guys at the train station that morning, I was in the Disney Dogs jean jacket. Saw that you guys were filming, was too shy to say hi. We got group 49 that morning! My husband was in the Starbucks line, he's the one who got us in. Our technique that has been foolproof so far (because we got in Sunday and Monday morning as well) was to open the app about 5-10 seconds before opening, depending on how fast your service is.

All this added stress. You won't have to worry about this one person getting in front of you because I am NOT interested in any of this crazy!

When i went on opening weekend, my family and I all tried to open the app at 8, it crashed for all of us both days and we got a backup group that never got called on the first day and then missed all groups the following day. the next two days we were there we had the app open and clicked “my status” right at 8 because “join boarding group” wasn’t live, and we were able to get group 52 one of the days and then group ONE the next! So it’s honestly all about your phone and the service you have, and how well the app is working. It’s a total lottery and game of chance!

This is probably an unpopular opinion. I do feel like the entire experience is incredible and super creative, I love the immersive sets and the CMs steal the show for me but I can't help feeling a little underwhelmed by the ride itself... idk I guess I was just expecting something a little more thrilling :\

Jose R Yeah! I talked about this last week in my first reaction review! ...but I can’t deny the scale and immersion of this attraction.

I’m absolutely amazed by Disney right now.. they’re seriously upping their game with the new Star Wars ride.. California and Orlando!
