I KNEW IT!!! 😂 I would recommend another by THE ROSE.......ALIVE. These songs are both from their newest album. They are currently touring North America and Canada. It's so good to see your exuberant reaction to them. BTW, the song was all English 😅 Xindary Heroes, I really like HAPPY DEATH DAY.

Happy to see you reacting to The Rose! I consider them Indie Rock/Coffee House and they are my favorite K-pop group! Something that is common among most of the K-pop groups you have reviewed so far is Stray Kids, Ateez, and The Rose seem to be more popular internationally than within Korea.

The Rose is one of my favorite groups! While they actually are not a Kpop group (kpop group doesn't just mean korean music group, it's a specific term referring to groups created by kpop entertainment companies, and kpop idols recieve specialized training specifically for the "idol" role, idol is literally a job title for that lmao), they're a Korean indie-rock band, and they're absolutely amazing! They were together before they got signed, and then they had to deal with a ton of crap from their old agency, one thing being not being paid at all by the agency and not being notified of tour date decisions. But they've managed to come out of all of that and we're all very happy! I'm so glad you're checking them out! Enjoy the journey :)

Thank you for reacting to The Rose. I am going to see them on Oct 24th. I love Alternative Soft Rock and this is what they are all about. I found them by Woosung (aka Sammy - first singer) had a collab on SUGA of BTS's song called Snooze. I was like...who is this guy? I've been hooked ever since. They finally made it on two Billboard charts, one for the album Dual and one for emerging artist.

LOL. I love natural dirty men too... but how you said that at first I practically died laughing. You should check out Alive by The Rose. It has more of a throwback sound, but you'd probably like it, and it's in full English. There are K-Bands that others recommended, so hope you check them out. And what you said earlier is pretty true... a majority of us who listen to K-Pop will see your reactions and what you do/don't like and try to find what you do and suggest more in that same wheelhouse.

Okay, I'm apparently suffering the curse of vanishing comments again... so please forgive me if my original one somehow shows back up (I waited almost an hour before checking back to see whether or not it stuck around, and I don't see it, so I'm making an assumption here). I was really excited to see you guys enjoy this song. The Rose is an amazing band, with lovely slow songs and amazing upbeat ones. They're my favorite K-band by far, with lyrics that speak to me in a similar way to how ATEEZ's lyrics reach my soul. "She's in the Rain" was the first song I heard by them, and I still can't hear it without at least tearing up (I usually cry once it reaches a specific part that just hits me so hard). They have music that I wish would've even been around for me to stumble upon back when I was young and struggling emotionally. I'll apologize now for the fact that I'm about to split my thoughts into multiple comments here...

ATEEZ (group) Black Cat Nero -- not straight rock of course, but well done w/ great MV The Rose (band) -- all of their stuff is good, but these would be my top suggestions Alive -- careful with your ears, there's an EDM drop near the end *** just after the 2nd chorus ends (the "falling from the sky" part) *** wouldn't usually warn, but it makes 1 of my kids jump out of her skin You're Beautiful -- NOT hard; very chill with gorgeous lyrics, everyone needs it at least once She's in the Rain -- another soft one everyone should hear at least once RED Sour -- on the softer side overall Strangers -- from an OST; kind of a chilling/haunting feel to it at times Beauty and the Beast -- softer song; MV makes me cry every time Woosung (solo work; he's from The Rose) Phase Me -- not sure how to describe it, but it's catchy and amazing Feel My Heart -- softer but still a rock feel, and beautiful Dreamcatcher (girl group, one of the few I enjoy) GOOD NIGHT -- highly recommend Chase Me TOMORROW X TOGETHER (aka TXT) (group) Farewell, Neverland -- more of a soft rock vibe, beautiful song Good Boy Gone Bad LO$ER=LO♡ER NINE.i (group) Loner -- mostly softer but chorus picks up a little (good song overall) YOUNGJAE (solo work; he's from B.A.P.) Forever Love -- kind of an anthem-y mix of rock and EDM NIve (solo artist; said "Neeve") I'm Alive -- very catchy, groovy rock feel

CNEMA (band) Get Out FTISLAND (band) -- these felt like the best options for this band Take Me Now Shadows Pray Broken ONEWE (band) Rain To Be -- great song with a very interesting MV DAY6 (band) Somehow -- more of a pop vibe, nice and upbeat, bright feeling song Love Me or Leave Me -- super catchy chorus, always gets me bopping a bit Shoot Me -- excellent lyrics & excellent MV to match them CNBLUE (band) Loner -- definitely a pop rock sound xikers (group; same label as ATEEZ) Dynamic -- an intro to ROCKSTAR, with a distinctly heavier feel to it ROCKSTAR -- decent rock vibe and a great MV J.UNA (solo artist) Butterfly -- not over-complicated with a good vibe, acoustic guitar base LUNA (band) Beautiful Breakup -- definitely more of a pop feel SEVENTEEN (aka SVT) (group) Rock with you -- very much a pop rock feel, but it's fun

Beyond those... "Lil Ghost 小鬼" is a Chinese artist (plays with a band) that you might really enjoy the sound of, but nothing has decent subtitles so it's hard to recommend anything specific. I've never known the lyrics, but I do enjoy the music. WINTER FLOWER by the (Korean) female solo artist Younha isn't rock but is just a beautiful song with an interesting animated MV, so I do recommend it.

Thank you for reacting to The Rose. As of 28 Oct 2023 at 7.12pm Singapore time, you now have 1.39k subscribers + 1 (that would be me). I got into The Rose, because I heard the lead singer Woosung sing in one of Suga/Agust D's songs called "Snooze". Suga is from BTS, and when I heard Woosung sing in "Snooze", his voice literally haunted me. I couldn't get it out of my head, and I wanted to hear more. That's when I found out about The Rose and I haven't looked back since. "Back To Me" is probably one of the first songs I heard by them, but the song that really got my attention was "Alive"... then I heard "You're Beautiful" and I decided I needed to stay. They have a whole bunch of other great songs that I've since come to love as well, but "Alive" and "You're Beautiful" are good to start with.

He is one member of BTS group and More is one of his solo song. When this song came out, we were in shock because Jhope has a very cheerful and sunny personality and the song is more on his darker side. Other than that, my favorite rock band is Muse! What’s your thoughts about them? 😁

Hi, Audrey! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and make a recommendation! We'll have to check it out. I'm not sure about David's thoughts on Muse. For me, the only song I'm familiar with is "Uprising". I'm not sure if it's because of my Autism, or if it's one of my Sensory Processing Disorder issues, but I have difficulty with hearing a lot of flats and sharps in songs. It puts me on edge, and makes me very uncomfortable. "Uprising" is like that for me, with all of the flats and sharps. Honestly, I hadn't listened to anything else of theirs for fear it would make me feel as uncomfortable as that song. Do you have a recommendation for another song of theirs that might be different than that one? ~ Angie 🤘🏻🎶🖤

@@Savage-Reactions Oh! Now I’m afraid to recommend something that will trigger you! 😅 If it does, than I am truly sorry since I don’t have the full knowledge to recognize by ear flats and sharps. Here’s the link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d59ktcmwh9Csado.htmlsi=ND1qjg1WpuORWaIc My second recommendation is the song called Knight of Cedonia. This is always the last song of their show, so a high energy one. I gave the link to their live version because this is so much better than the album version. They added an intro ( a very well known piece ) to it that is not on the album. This performance occurred around maybe 15 years ago at the Olympic Rome Stadium and this show was epic!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4KKm8mvYLHTqrg.htmlsi=VIn2PSqh16KhVQVE Again, if it triggers you, I am sorry…

The Rose is not really kpop.K pop is a concept of mostly pop music with various influences, that combine swith dance, outfits, an esthetic that is see as pop culcure. As The Rose, yes Koreans, but not into that category. There are also other styles of music that don't enter kpop segment. Also if I'm not mistaking this last album is all English, they work a lot in the US, the main vocals is Korean American

So how is it that you have reacted to The Rose, SKZ and Ateez and haven't touched anything by BTS? I'm not being ugly or critical, I'm just honestly surprised. I love The Rose, and I wouldn't call them K-pop. They are an indy rock band (and also nothing like "Mmmm Bop" by the way...lol) Actually, BTS isn't really "K-pop" anymore either - they are well beyond that. You won't see the BTS members playing instruments very much, because it's awfully hard to dance and play an instrument at the same time. BUT, they write/produce all of their own music (and are the main reason younger bands do it) - and the other two K-pop bands you've reacted to owe their ability to do anything in the US market to BTS (SKZ, at least, has admitted that more than once). AgustD plays guitar/piano in his solo work (he's "SUGA" when he's with BTS), and he actually had Woosung from The Rose (raspy voiced guy in this video) feature on his song "Snooze." I'd recommend BTS live performances, because they often use a live band for those. You could start with a Medley live (just search BTS Medley Live - there's one inside and one outside - both are great). Just don't start with their 3 all-English hits (which you probably already know, anyway). They weren't or were only somewhat involved in the production of those songs. Listen to anything else. Or try AgustD or j-hope's live performances (D-Day concert or Lollapalooza 2022, respectively). RM at Rolling Hall would also be a good one for you to watch (although I believe he sings to a backing track for that one???). If you do a live performance, add "Eng" or "Eng Sub" to your search term, and you'll probably be able to find one with the English lyric translations. BTS is known for their lyrics, touching on topics like mental health, loving yourself, social issues, etc.

It all started with a request from a coworker, and we've been going off of requests and recommendations in the comments since then. There has only been one request for BTS (from another coworker), which is down the list a little ways. It's taking time, but we're working our way down the list. Our subscribers have also been doing an awesome job trying to find music that Angie can rock out to in her car. She usually listens to hard rock and classic and heavy metal, and prefers English so she can belt it out while driving. They've found a few great songs now that she plays in her car.
