that is a great house, very Spacious. I am hoping that you decide to keep most of those plants. One of the things that makes Vallarta so special is it lush landscape and plant life against the bright colorful structures. Hopefully in the near future i can go ahead and start looking at a place of my own there. At the moment i just have a timeshare that i visit yearly but whenever i visit My beautiful Jalisco, place of birth, not only do i feel more mentally healthy but my body responds to how amazing the state Jalisco and the city of Vallarta is.

Wow, so beautiful!! I started following you all like 6mo ago when we were planning our vacation there. Loving your newer videos, and they were so helpful while we there just last week. Was hoping to bump into you two, we walked by your meeting place near Isla Cuale. Lovely place, we talked to a bunch of nice people there. We did meet Audra from Naked Jaguar, we spotted the dogs that are always around her one night. So checking out some of first videos because I think I finally have my husband convinced about spending a whole lot more time in PVR since he finally visited there for the first time last week.That was my 8th time there, I have been visiting for 22yrs. It is great day for me to catch up and see how it all began for you two, the weather has been awful here in Michigan especially this week. So your video’s are getting me through this dark winter.

We do have a garage and AC/screens in the rooms. The pool will be important in the summer! We too are curious on the mosquitos! (Will keep you updated there). For better or worse, the city does spray for them to keep dengue down.

This video just brought back some nice memories. I lived in Gringo Gulch 20 years ago (can't believe it) in the house "next door" - so to speak since that was the only house on your side of Cuauhtémoc Street after yours (currently called Casa Alfil, I believe). It was then owned by a very nice German couple and I used to attend German classes there at the living room. Gringo Gulch has always been a dream neighborhood for me ever since. If I'm not wrong there used to be a palapa on top (I must have a picture somewhere). Congratulations for the house!!! No doubt a dream come true!

Thanks Vee, you got the house! They had an original palapa that went back to the 60s, and it was replaced with a different shade structure closer to the bar area, by we think around 2013. It would be great to still have it. We believe the German fellow is still around, but we have not met… that would be fun. We can go back as as far as the German couple, but would love to know the earlier history. Thanks for dropping us a note!

Beautiful Casa! We are just starting the journey so may see you around one day....a trick with the palms and plants....they may need to be repotted! It's a big ole dirty job....but worth it.....also we had seen some of the locals put a dead fish in when repotting 😬 but I'm sure you can grab some fertilizer, otherwise you may have even more cats gathering 😂 Be well

Gorgeous! Your home is beautiful with the lovely woodwork, the vase of flowers painted onto the wall, and some of those doors are just outstanding! Congratulations.

Agree. The difference between the new place vs our other place is that one house has you directed outward…to the water, to the neighborhood, etc. The new place gives me a sense of ease and puts me in a space to focus within, but with fresh air and sunshine.

Beautiful house! I spent a week in PV earlier this year and I liked it but it seems like there are lots and lots of North Americans and it’s being built up quickly. My husband and I are looking to retire to Mexico at least part time but maybe someplace a bit smaller than PV. I will check out your wellness retreats!

Yes, there are many condos cropping up with the global real estate boom. One thing we noticed recently is that depending on where you are at in Puerto Vallarta, you'll have a very different view of the city. We absolutely love Gringo Gulch, as the area has a neighborly feel about it and has some interesting history. Definitely not a place for solitude, but on the flip side we'll never get bored. That is the trade off with more of a sleepy, chill beach town. It is really about what you are looking for!

Please, please, please keep as many plants as you can. Add some. Although they do require maintenance and watering, gardeners work for very reasonable rates. Plants make any home “softer” and more natural. And your home is utterly fantastic. Love, love, love it. We’ll be in PV for a very short time from Jan 3 thru 13. If you’re open to having lunch or dinner some time, please let me know.

Lovely home, truly lovely. Hopefully Brighton didn't cover it in "Covid Coutties" LOL. Great maybe even awesome views. We live in rural Nova Scotia (moved from Toronto) and really do not want the city life. I'm sure you are happy, it's probably a great place, just too crowded for us. But who cares , you bought it for you. We are leaning towards the La Paz area, honestly one of the concerns is that La Paz is desert and has very little rainfall and well... water is somewhat important. But that's enough rambling. Great place hope you enjoy every moment you spend there. Dave of P n D. PS did you consider drone shots of the "new" place ?

Thanks for the comments Dave! Maybe a drone in the future! 🤗 One thing we noticed with Brighton from La Paz over this weekend is that he is from Portland (rainy) and we are from the San Francisco Area (dry) and that clearly impacted our choices on Mexico!

Cool. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs room for a week a couple years ago! We loved the plunge pool access right down the stairs from our room lol. Such a beautiful place, and a lovely neighbourhood! The new view you have of the river is fabulous!

That is so cool! We thought that was funky at first and then we realized how convenient those steps were. Kind of mixed feelings on the new River view. A lot was lost for others there.

Our other home is actually not in 5D but that is a great area. Living somewhere with character and texture is definitely our jam.

Absolutely LOVE your house!!!!! We just vacationed in PV a couple of weeks ago and loved it. We have been going to Cabo for several years and decided we needed a change. Now we are thinking PV might be the place we would like to eventually buy a house there. We have watched most of your videos and have really enjoyed them. Congratulations on your new amazing home purchase! We love old Vallarta, went there for our Honeymoon 38 yrs. ago and been back on vacation almost on a yearly basis at least 20 times. Trying to convince my wife to go retire there next year, but she is hesitant. Wish us luck. Thnx for sharing your experiences. JB
