Thank you. I appreciate it. I was really struggling on what accent color I wanted to use. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. I'm obsessed with this space I made.

I love how the k-cups and tea are all organized in the drawer under the coffee maker. Oh, I leave my microwave light on at night as a night light. I don't want to be stumbling around in the dark when getting a glass of water in the middle of the night, lol. But that little lamp is way cuter.

I got the coffee and tea ideas from Tiffani Beaston actually. I thought it was so neat when I saw her do it in her older home. And yes, the lamp is so much better for me. And if the light bulb goes out, I think it'll be easier to change it than the one above the stove lol.

We bought a home about a year ago as well, its such a great feeling having your own in addition to military life it feels good to put down roots. I love neutral decor and colors it makes it easy tp decorate for seasons and holidays!

I agree, it's been really nice having our own home. When I started incorporating the neutrals, I fell in love. I am honestly not that big on colors in my home. I'm such a basic and simple person, but I was just trying to branch out of my comfort zone a little bit. I loved the orange fall colors with the blue and the reds looked great with the blue as well for the holidays. But I am so ready to have my home more cohesive throughout. Let me know what else you think I should do for the upstairs to make it transition well with the downstairs space. :)

I’m also contemplating putting a TV in my master bedroom. But I agree with you, on the weekends when you don’t want to leave the bed, it will definitely be nice to have a tv in there. I can’t wait to see all that you have planned for your bedroom and your patio. I’m here patiently waiting 🥰🥰. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home tour with us!

I do the same thing with liking having the light above the stove on. The lamp is a really good idea, though, because my husband says the special light bulb you need above the stove is fairly expensive. Great idea! 👍

Haha grew up doing this. But I like the lamp so much better and if the light bulb goes out, it's way easier to change it than the one over the stove.

Oh that makes me so happy to hear. As I was touring the home before closing, I was just planning out in my head how and where I wanted the furniture and where I was going to put things and how I wanted to decorate for the holidays and stuff. I had everything planned out. And was so excited it turned out nicely like it did in my head lol. So glad this gave you some inspiration. Check out some of my other decorating videos for more ideas.

Thank you for watching. We do love our starter home even though the experience was not the best. I personally don’t think DR Horton homes are the best. They just got into another lawsuit very recently with complaints of electrically issues, floorboards coming up, paint falling off, missing shingles on the roof, etc. these are brand new built homes. They build these homes and try to sell them so quickly and the quality is not efficient whatsoever. So, no I don’t recommend DR Horton homes.
