The nurse who waited for you to be able to bottle feed Violet first is an angel. To think about your feelings and waiting is not something you see every day, especially with how many patients they have and how busy they get. I'm so happy Violet is thriving and doing so well at home. Maggie will be remembered & loved always. ❤

Our youngest son was in the NICU for 5 1/2 months!! Hard times, but necessary! We spent so much time there and also at the Ronald McDonald House. We were VERY, VERY grateful to the Doctors and Nurses, and the Ronald McDonald House. It’s very hard, and I am so thankful for the love and care of the babies! A long time ago now, we were told he wouldn’t be normal! He is 38 years old now and has two wonderful children. He is partially blind, partially deaf, and successfully, with great determination, graduated with his AA degree, lived at home and paid as he went to school, received his BS degree debt free. Then he was hired as a lab tech at another University. He graduated with his Masters degree and then his PHD. By the way, he graduated debt free with $10,000 in the bank!! He now teaches in an international high school. He teaches Physics!! Never doubt the will to live!! And the care of the NICU DRS. and Nurses!

I’m not normally one to comment..but I thought I would share. I was in the middle of our TTTS journey and was desperate to find anyone also going through it here on YT. You were consistently a few weeks behind me and had a similar story. I had to have the fetal surgery twice. 3yr old son at home. Thankfully our sweet boys both made it (1lb and 2lb’s), born at 30wks, and 73 and 89 day NICU journeys with one still on home oxygen. Anyways, you always made me feel not so alone and like someone also understood a lot of what I was going through. I cried a lot watching your videos as I went through similar. Prayed for both and grieved for Maggie and you all. You guys are truly troopers and I can relate with all the preemie struggles since having them home as well! I wish nothing but the best for you and your family ❤

Our granddaughter was born 3 month's premature and only weighted 2lbs. She was born at a time when I really needed a distraction because it was the 1st Christmas my Dad passed away. Her name is Angelica ( Angel) and she is my Angel and she only stayed in the NICU for a month and she came home at 4lbs. It's been 24 years since she was born and she has turned into a beautiful young lady and loves her job teaching 8th grade English. God Bless you and your beautiful family!!

I understand Miss Luna being unsure of baby Violet. When I brought my firstborn home, my cat, Princess, hid for a week in the house. When she came out she was rather jealous of the baby and if I was holding him, she would try to get in my lap and gently try to nudge him out of the way. I think she thought she was the only baby of the house. She eventually accepted him and I made she she got a good amount of attention as well.

Sweet babies. I’m so happy she is doing good. I also had twin to twin transfusion at 26 weeks. I give birth at 26 weeks baby A was 1lb 15oz 13.5 inches long and baby B was 1lb 11oz 12.5 inches long. At day 2 baby B had to have emergency surgery due to NEC and she didn’t great. At day 21 baby A sadly passed away from a nurse sticking a feeding tube through her stomach and gangrene ate her whole stomach out “the doctor said in 25 years he never seen what happened to my baby”. Baby A was 21 days old 2lbs 3oz when she passed away. Baby B ended up having 3 surgeries and spent 127 days in the NICU. She was 6lbs 10oz at 127 days old “4 months 4 days old” With both twins I breastfeed through their tube and continued to breastfeed baby B the whole time. At 16 months we found out she had spastic diplegia cerebral palsy “it only effects her ankles her mental health is like a regular kid. She is now 4 years old and is doing so good. I will continue to pray for the grieving of your sweet baby. ❤

So happy she's home having had 4 premies I understand, they were all a journey! However they are a challenge when you have other children that need you. But all but one did very well now, we lost one at 8 months he never left the nicu. So I know what your going through and know your doing everything right. That was so long ago I had no help when we got home, tired is and became a way of life. Rest every minute you can! Even if dishes, laundry food and cooking are at the end of the list, be kind to you! My 4lb baby came home at 4lb but they allowed me to bring him home. Everyone said he looked like an alien, yours is filled out and beautiful. When you have troubles put her in her car seat in crib to sleep,it saved me. He never slept more then 2 hours, he always fought to nurse,so I pumped and he took bottle, he never did latch on he fought me. But he's 5"11 now! So relax Mom . With all us in your corner you will make it through, one thing that's funny now every little sound in house I awake ,even though it's been years! I too did everything with baby in front, and toddler on my hip! God bless you your going to learn things you never knew. Write a book, women will appreciate your learning and teaching.I had 4 boys and one daughter lol and she hated being a girl, she wanted to be a tomboy.you warm my heart. Funny thing I told people baby was 4lbs and they sent size 4. We weent through 15 diapers a day first 3 months home , Alaska welcomes your new daughter ! Being a grandma now my daughter had a premie too,and she said mom, and knew I took care of her her first year. Give yourself hugs when needed. And yes she's really a newborn !

Oh this video brought back so many memories. Just a few months ago my adult daughter and I were with my granddaughter in two separate NICUs. It’s a long journey. At two days old my granddaughter was taken by helicopter a few hours drive away. We had to drive. So many emotions. My granddaughter was on a floor with 79 other NICU babies. In another part of hospital there were 50 more NICU babies. The staff are amazing. The one thing I can say is it’s a constant adjustment. You may make plans but, you just have to go with the flow. So many milestones and so much joy. One day you will just know how to honor Maggie. She will always be with you. Blessings to all of you.

I pray right now that God bring you and your family comfort on this journey. It’s not going to be easy or always joyful. You’ve lost your baby girl, all while holding her sister close. I cannot imagine. My preemie twins will be 24 in May and I am so thankful for their lives. I very much remember those early days and that feeling of uncertainty. Everyday was touch and go. Even though they both made it, I’ll always remember the mamas with me that were grieving losses all around me. So much love to you. You will always feel her loss. Forty eight years ago, I lost a twin, and we always felt like someone was missing. Three years ago, we lost her surviving sister, Sunshine to cancer. I understand your tears. God bless you.

@@shannoninalaska Thank you Shannon. I saw where you lived in Florida before moving to Alaska. I live in NC. My daughter would tell my Mama that she wanted to meet her twin. It's been a long hard journey, but God has been faithful.

Dear Lauren, as a mama who breast fed 2 daughters I can say without a doubt that you are doing a fantastic job feeding her… your mama milk is the very highest quality nutrition on God’s earth! Whether it’s in a bottle or not isn’t the point. It’s your own milk, love, dedication and family support that is giving her life sustaining nourishment. 💞 When Violet gets older to understand the beginning of her life’s journey, she will be grateful and inspired to pass on to her own children what her mama did for her. Rest easy Lauren 👏🌟 you are doing great! 💜

Lauren! I loved the timeline for Miss Maggie and Miss Violet that you shared. It was very special to see the journal keeping you have that will carry you through the next few months. There’s something about passing the one year marks for so many different events, that will give you comfort through this year. May God hold you in the arms of His love and seal your family together forever. ♥️

I'm sure that the boys are loving her and that they are glad to have family time and life to get back to "normal" as normal as having a newborn can be. Glad to have mom, dad and sister all under the same roof as its meant to be. Looking forward to your future family adventures and videos! 😊

I just love watching your journey. My daughters water broke at 18 weeks. But a miracle happened. She will be delivering now, at 34 weeks at Providence, six weeks from today. I’d love to privately chat with you. We are in Anchorage. Please pray for my McKayla and her baby, Amelia. My other daughter is her twin sister, McKenzie. She’s expecting a full term baby boy, Ashton, the same day. I had a 24 weeker, she lived two week, but this was in 1996. I donated all my milk to the N.I.C.U. So many emotions. Thank you, for sharing. We met with Dr. Johnson at Prov and Dr. Rodriguez at A.N.M.C. Who is still caring for her.
