Our New Superstar is CRUSHING Everything! | MLB The Show 24 Franchise (Year 3) - Ep.32

Ойындар

Today we begin the MLB The Show 24 Franchise with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are far from being one of the weakest teams in baseball, but they do have one of the most uncertain future. This is an experienced team and one of the oldest in the MLB. Every starting pitcher is at least 32 years old. The best two position players have over 10 years experience. The Cardinals will have to rebuild this organization regardless of their success in the near future. I'm excited to work on restoring this franchise to a championship standard that they have not seen in the last decade.
On my MrHurriicaneLP channel I make sports gaming lets play series. My series focus on building teams and players from sports like baseball and football. I play games such as Madden 24, NCAA Football 14, MLB The Show 24 and more.

Sometimes I think you get into "rebuild" or "next season" mode too quickly when in your winning window. Martinez would only get the extra roster spot if he fits the championship run, i.e. bench bat, super-sub, defensive replacement, base stealer, etc. Getting reps with expanded rosters on a contending team isn't likely in the thought process for the Cards here.

I personally love the critical situations. As long as a few full games are mixed in every now and then. I think the key is variety. That’s just my opinion. Gonna watch either way

The catcher position has definitely changed. Twenty years ago, it felt like they were primarily defensive, but they seemed to be solid on-base players. Nowadays, they can do it all. Unless they're on the Cubs. In that case, they can't do anything

I agree with the comment a few videos ago. I know that the trade deadline is over, but many contending teams, if not all, are very willing to trade prospects, especially upper echelon prospects. I know it’s hard to part ways, and with how easy the trades in this game can be, but it’s a lot more realistic if you do trade some of those higher caliber prospects to gain some MLB ready players!

i really wish mlb the show had it where you could see someone’s splits when they are traded like on baseball reference instead of just saying tot. Because it would be could to see how well Robert has been doing with just the cardinals and at the end of the season you can look back and see how much of a spark plug he has been.

Also, for guys like Darrell Marino and Jordan Walker, you should worry less about the defense and fielding and just continue to improve their bat and discipline/clutch to a point where they can be heavy hitters in the lineup before their development is finished and they reach their potential cap. A good bat will always outweigh good defense imo
