    Looks like a Fowler Rig. 2004 and 2005 were big years there for buying equipment and trucks when I worked there. It might not be but the color and age is right. I was thinking several of them had aluminum beds. Could haul 22.5 tons.

    Thats a extremly nice rig, in Canada we don't have the weight restrictions like you so we rarely have tag axles, only on the back of some cut lumber flatdeck trailers. I like the lift gate, don't see many of those up here. Wont see yourself in the chrome for long hahaha, nice video and truck, good purchase!

    Do you mean net weight or payload when you say gross weight. Here in UK we have gross, tare and net weight, gross is weight of truck and load, tare is truck unloaded weight, subtract tare from gross equals net or payload. Your truck must be 10/ 12 tons tare or empty. She's a tidy machine and a big saving on new price, a wee drop of paint and good servicing will give you long service from her. Thanks for posting.

    Thats odd to have a small motor with a 10 spd in it with a quad axle. Old mans truck is a tandem with a 20kgs lift axle(dually) with an 18 spd 565 ISX with 600 hp Cummins. Its a sweet looking KW though!

    No, actually in doesn't. Ever hear the term tandem-axle, tri-axle, quad-axle. They all refer to the rear axles (drive and pusher) not the steer axle.

  • @TangoUniform300

    @TangoUniform300

    7 жыл бұрын

    Dieselman8v92 tandem refers to the drive axles. Tridem refers to the drives. Pushers, boosters, tag axles, drives, and steer axles are all part of the axle count. Don't believe me, just ask the DOT man. Axles are axles no matter what position. This dump truck is a 5 axle truck. By the way I miss the old 892's and 671's. Best engines ever.

  • @dieselman8v923

    @dieselman8v923

    I understand there is always the "proper terms" for things but its just a way of lingo I guess. I have and everyone else I know have just always called them by the number of drive and pusher axles on the truck including most of the DOT guys I have met. I just figured it was common lingo at least in the US. I appropriate you telling em the proper terms but I'll still call em as I did before as its common. And yes Detroit's were and still are an amazing engines.
