Tip for quick rice with a rice cooker: boil the water in an electric kettle and stick it in the rice cooker. Another tip: if you have a microwave you can wave the rice when its cooked to make it drier and more fluffy. Btw those small rice cookers are great! Happy cooking!

@Novie Grampon...That's what you think. Negros Oriental never conduct mass testing despite the first two deaths out of the only 4 reported cases. Cebu had similar situation before (only 4 cases for more than a month) when they only relied Manila to test their swab samples which took them 4 weeks on average to get the result. Not until the local officials of Cebu City and Cebu province purchased their own testing kits to conduct mass testing in April. As a result, the cases suddenly rose. I'm sure there are lots of silent carriers in Negros Oriental and in Dumaguete and didn't get tested. Look at Bohol and even Negros Oriental, the IATF and DOH still recommend these two provinces to be placed under quarantine despite the zero active cases recorded. What does that tell us? The IATF and DOH officials believe that both provinces have positive cases, only not recorded because the officials didn't collect swab samples and conduct mass testing on their own.

@lionhearted1969 yes i know that, i hoping also that our city or province will conduct mass testing, sa ngayon wala pa, as a resident here in our province even though no positive cases were announce, we make sure na fina follow namin yung huwag lumabas ng bahay mag face mask and alcohol.

We are under GCQ pa naman eh, we are aware that Negros Oriental is not covid free naman eh, so we are still following the Stay at home policy, we are aware din naman kung ano mangyayari kapag di kami sumunod sa rules nila. so stay at home pa din kami.

@@noviegrampon7932 So you get it, huh? So don't say that Bisayang Hilaw is better off staying in Dumaguete than in Cebu where cases are rising. You should be alarmed more in Dumaguete because your local officials didn't conduct mass testing in your city and you don't know the persons you're meeting along the way or the places that you went to are contaminated. In mass testing, you'll be able to identify the carriers or people with virus and isolate them (if asymptomatic) or admit them in hospital (if showing symptoms). Don't you know that many positive cases are asymptomatic? In Cebu, more than 90% is asymptomatic, thus it has the lowest mortality rate in the country at only 0.6%. The national mortality rate in the Philippines is currently at 6%. You should suggest to your local officials to conduct mass testing before it's too late.
