I mean, yeah but I kind of get it though. Whether something is technically correct is less important than whether it narrows down what they need to guess. I feel like most people, on hearing something is a household object, would be guessing stuff like "cutlery" or "remote control" or "spatula" long before they start guessing actually food items. What's much more concerning is that Angela, with a last name like Giarratana, looked like she had to think for a long time about whether goddamn SPAGHETTI were from America.

This game somehow confuses new players that guessing the word is the objective. Jackie guessing Leona Lewis and Arasha guessing Namaste at the last 5 seconds just cemented their role as Seers. We instead didn't get to see them debating on who the Werewolf is or double claiming Seer which imo is a fun part of the game. Hope they play it again tho.

Yes I own this game and I’ve played it a lot with a lot of different people and I thought the same. I’ve never played a game with a seer guessing the word, and when I’ve played we’ve usually only gotten the word about half the time. I wondered if they’d realised that the villagers still win if they don’t guess the word but correctly guess the werewolf, and the werewolf wins if the word is guessed but they find the seer, which is why you never want to be too obvious as the seer or werewolf.

@@rachf I was wondering about the werewolf part. It seemed way too unbalanced that the werewolf didn't need to be discrete at all. Like there should've been a hunter role or something. I guess they (Spencer specifically) skipped the part in the rules where the villagers can guess the werewolf to end the game.

@@TheAluvisify as someone who is very familiar with this game I immediately noticed that they skipped explaining that part of the rules! And yes, the alternate win conditions exist for that reason, to make the seer and werewolf be discreet in their help/sabotage since they will still lose if they are too obvious. The mayor can also be the werewolf and they can lie and mislead in their answers and also pick the hardest word, so if the villagers didn’t guess the word it would be really unfair if they automatically lost! If the word isn’t guessed because time or tokens ran out then the word is revealed to everyone via the app so that is taken into consideration when discussing and voting on who the werewolf is.

I've watched a couple of these videos now and Chance is so incredibly smart in these types of games but his body language betrays him everytime 😭😭

Love this group! I missed Jackie in Games stuff. Jackie, Spencer, Triple A and Chanse are my favorite group. I feel like they vibe really well in this kind of game. Hope y'all do another lying/deception game with this specific group. Some feedback: I felt like this group was more balanced playing a kind of lying/deception game. It sometimes comes across like one or two people are dominating the conversation in other lying/deception games you've had or at least it comes across that way sometimes to me. It might be because this game is simpler than those, but I do hope y'all have this group play something like the Secret X games.

Yeah i can see that in the others. And more like anxiety annoyed or sometimes even pushy play. This did feel balanced, and more fun came out. They gave each other space and didn't say anything that could be misconstrued as mean. Like playing with friends versus BEST friends energy. Or just respectful energy. And it was so cute when angela was like im sorry that i called you tha to amanda ❤

Angela moving next to Amanda during her werewolf moment mightve given it away if Angela weren't totally the type of person to do that on purpose when she's not the werewolf lol

It should be if the werewolf is too obvious, and everyone guesses them, they don't get to win. Just because they're way too easy to win as given the amount of failure conditions for the villager's.

Conversely, if the players make it too obvious that they're just running out the clock, the werewolf can just say the word, point to the seer, and win. In fact, if the werewolf EVER figures out who the seer is, it's game over -- they say the word and identity the seer. So if you are the seer, your primary objective is to be as unsuspicious as possible. Forget about guessing the word -- that's not the objective. The objective is to win, and you do that by either guessing the werewolf, OR by guessing the word and still getting the seer to successfully elude him.

Lol, Arasha being so confused by all the incorrect descriptions of "Namaste" was hilarious. She had to carry everyone so hard toward the answer.

I don't get why Amanda and Angela were so obvious about Arasha being the seer in that last round? Genuinely so confused considering that they lose too if the werewolf guesses her correctly. Arasha was so chill after too kudos to her bc I would've been so tilted at them pretty much saying it out loud to the group lol. I need like 5 minutes and a water to get over this! (Such a good game and video overall though! Imposter and charade style games with such a good cast have me so invested every time.)

This game is so easy to teach my non-board game enthusiast friends so it became an easy favorite of our group too. And the more you play it, the more social deduction tricks you can play with the roles.

I didn't know this version of werewolves existed but I'm loving it. Also, the rounds are super quick and we get 40 minutes of it that's awesome!
