Sunethra K aww Yeah I understand. My parents went through the same thing. My mom is Indian and my father is black. When they got married, they got a lot of backlash, but eventually her family came around and everything is all good now! 😁 True love will find a way.

***** I didn't say I am leaving my family. And this is not just a guy. I am not naive or stupid to puppy love nor do I have time for it. I am having a professional career and so is my partner. We are taking things slow. If it doesn't work out we are great friends. Parents are there but hindering a life is also wrong to do on a child. I am also not a child anymore so hindering this aspect of my life is deeply affecting me. I am sorry for your loss but not all stories end badly and I have faith god will lead it all in the right direction for me. Thank you.

I disagree with you parents are important but when you know you have met your number one you cannot tell someone to leave the "guy" - you are not in the relationship and you are not in a position to tar everyone with the same brush - one man's meat is another man's poison - let her find her way and make her decision without your negative feedback - based on the problems within Asian families I pray that her parents will eventually come round to her way of thinking and accept her partner.

I think we will do a video at some point, because sadly you're not the first person to tell me that :( I actually just got a message yesterday on Instagram from a young Indian girl who just told her parents about her Nigerian boyfriend and they were so upset! I wish issues like this didn't exist - It's 2017 and we live in America, yet these types of race and ethnicity issues still exist.
