Amazing work as usual. Would be very cool to see how you finished the edge too. To have the veneer continue over the edge was the finishing touch on a true piece of art. Would almost be a shame to use this as a table.

Great job Andy. while watching I was reminded of a tool quilters use to check patterns. They use a wall device to hang and move around pieces to get the right look. Its nice because you are not looking at an angle. Keep up the good work.

At 27:10 it finally clicked in little noggin' what your goal was with the matching grain. WOW. I'm in awe. That is amazing. Thanks for sharing. And, thanks for being real about the challenge and mistakes. None of us is perfect. I sure am not. But, you know, it is encouraging to see you go through the process and deal with issues as they come up.

Enough admiring your hard work. Somewhere someone is thinking, he could use 200 tables just like that one. What would you say? I imagine they would be easier after the prototype. But it could also make you crazy. Nice work. Danny

Wow... just... wow! Absolutely, incredibly gorgeous. I'm typically not a fan of veneer, but the way that you "continued the grain" with the vertical grain on the veneered edge is SO GOOD. 🙌

Love the top. Love the shape of the base. I think had it been veneered similar to the top, it would have been astonishing. Not so with the half round thing. The top is classical joinery. The bottom is now cheap tiki bar.

Well what a fantastic job, just blown away by how beautiful it is! You got a rare find in Robert, didn't you? It really is great to see how well you work together, it seems like you are completely in sync with each other. How you worked that great big piece of board through the Oliver to cut those curves was amazingly co-ordinated. You certainly created a complex design and executed it superbly. I've run out of superlatives to express how impressed I am, very well done both of you. 👍🙏

200 shop hours and it shows Andy and Bob. The table is incredible and the top is over the top beautiful. You should be proud of this project, an amazing amount of prep work, trial and error and the table is a show stopper and one of a kind. What kind of finish did you use Andy, lacquer or polyurethane? Cheers from this old retired coot living the dream in Tennessee.

Amazing tabletop, phenomenal! The method of veneering in the final impression brings to mind more marquetry than ordinary veneer. Great idea: repeating centrically mirrored sheets. I don't like the base. In my opinion, it is too heavy, too massive, as if "from another table". For this top, I imagine filigree, traditional legs, slightly angled. With a traditional, not too thick frame. Try to check it (the top is easy to unscrew?), maybe I'm just hinting you an idea for a lot of bucks?

The end product looks amazing but.... are you sure it´s a good idea to let the child run around barefoot in a workshop and the not tucked in shirt while flush trimming the veneer could end up in an unwanted appendix surgery.
