Our LONGEST Waterfall: Building 70-ft Natural Backyard Stream!

Ойын-сауық

#premierponds How we built the LONGEST waterfall in company history! Our client wants a 70-foot long stream- practically a river!- in his greater Baltimore backyard....
A "pondless" project of truly epic proportions, it's time to grab our energy drinks, call the rock supplier, and fire up the machines!
Another cool element: this monumental water feature was finalized in the winter of '21, which gives us the opportunity to show you how amazing this stream looks over a year later!
Hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at how we created a truly iconic water feature that will soothe, entertain, and perhaps even inspire for years to come!

All the outer stonework-outcropping, patio, and steps-was done exceptionally well. It looks great. 👍👌 As for the stream itself, I don't care for it as much. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice and does the job, and more importantly, I'm sure the homeowner is happy with it. I just think the stacked boulder look doesn't do as good a job of achieving a natural appearance. Most of those boulders were big enough that they didn't need to be stacked. In my opinion, you shouldn't be able to see the bottom of the boulders. Plus, having them lower gives it that sunken look, making the water easier to see without needing to walk up and stand above it to see it. And let's not even talk about the boulder in the middle of the stream being held up by a bunch of smaller rocks. 🤐 I hope that's not supposed to be a way to cross the water. 🫣
