I don't believe that the electric is going anywhere why would Buccees be building all of these big truckstops in Knoxville Tennessee and they just built a new fuel stop in Crossville Tennessee with 186 fuel islands for vehicles. Truck prices are ridiculous 80,000 for a 2000 w9 155,000 for a 2013 Pete 379 is just insane I had the chance to buy a 04w9 for 30,000 8 yrs ago and past on it stay safe Alex🤘🇺🇸🤙🇺🇸 another great video

Yes a peterbilt. Your getting better at buying trucks. Stick a board or pipe in the middle of the door bend the top in, just did my 16 it's a peterbilt thing. Why can't you just add like a aluminum diamond plate hydro tank behind the cab instead of doing the tanks? I know the tanks are cooler. Always makes me laugh, companies send a non truck driver/non mechanic to buy the trucks. And they always buy something PACCAR. lol! "It's soooo Big in here!" They could send a secretary to pick a pretty color. lol! Oh, and BTW, a properly turned up engine saves on wear and tear. Put a 370 BHP, and a 700BHP going up on the same 10% grade, and you tell me what parts are wearing out faster, and how much they cost to install.

This electric crap sounds good in theory, but right now it's a pipe dream. I just read about a guy that spent 130 grand on an electric Ford F-150 and a home charger. He was taking his family on a vacation from Ontario Canada to Chicago IL. I think they made it the first 215 miles and couldn't find a working charger, with 12 miles left on his truck he had to give up, rent a gas engine truck to get to Chicago, having his electric truck towed back to Canada. Like I said sounds good, but it's no where near reality today.

Short answer: rolling chassis, no engine. Probably still the same..... I have a 1977 KW900. It is a glider. It has a short VIN code that does not specify the drive train components (engine, transmission, etc). These trucks were bought as a rolling chassis without these components. Why? So that you can build a truck to the specifications that you need. Example: mine is a 'Winch Tractor' built to match a 50 ton tri-axel folding neck lowboy which uses the 80 ton Tulsa winch to pick up the trailer neck, then trailer plus load and drag the truck under the neck of the low boy to hitched position. The winch is operated off of a PTO on a 4 speed auxiliary transmission which is behind the main 5 speed trans. [Twin stick 5&4] So why is it desirable to find these now ....emissions requirement loophole!

I would buy a Detroit to get the truck home and then change it just like I do with isx's there is no equal to a cat or an n14

I’d say that truck was wrecked farm work is not easy on trucks lots of different drivers
Awesome video sir!
I'm surprised to see original 10 year old shocks on that truck?
Alex I'd almost bet ya that the truck had been wrecked sir they didn't get the door adjusted right.

If it was a grain truck and pulled a hopper it was always over loaded. Pete’s don’t flex well under farm conditions with heavy loads so the doors and cabs take a beating!

We have a bunch of them Detroit gliders with straight pipes in w9 and 389 always sounds good 👍

I’ll take the 370hp all day long 😜…… we used to do injector codes, marine cams …. All the big hp stuff. The rest of the truck takes a toll and the engines build heat which destroys it …….learned a expensive lesson !! Now I’m probably going to far trying to stick to stock 🤣🤣🤣. What I can tell u is that a 475 cat stock will last over 1.5 mil miles without a rebuild. A 700hp cat will not !!!

When you lock the drivers door, the passenger door will automatically lock
Detroit 60 Series
I never like a Detroit until I ran one they are alot different from the ol 318s and those type motors I think you will be hobby with the Detroit

@gregorycross612
Жыл бұрын
I'd pass on that Pete.
