Damn this is such a throwback, saw OLP in 2005 and then Reine Maida with Chantal twice since then. Canadian talent right there, keep rocking! Can’t wait for the next show! 🤘🇨🇦

Our Lady Peace always puts on a insane show.

No matter how many tricks his vocal coach teaches Raine, he still can't sing his stuff from the '90's. He barely sang it back then, and I suspect he damaged his voice. People have no idea how much balls it takes to get up there and do this when you know your instrument is handicapped. I cannot imagine the anxiety.... So full credit to him for just trying to get his message across. He pulls it off.

I remember seeing them live in 1995 and he struggled back then as well. Much more now. That's got to be tough. Good for him for soldiering on.

I saw them in 97 and I think 99 and he was pretty spot on, while climbing the balcony beams haha. One of the best shows I've been to, and glad I saw them in their prime when his voice still worked. I understand getting older, but it just sounds like a cover band at this point, he need's a back up singer or something the can hit the notes. Not even the "yea ee yea ee" parts sound good. Good for them for moving forward, but I'll stick with my albums and memories ha.

Saw them open for Live and Bush this year. They were amazing

Well, you probably won't believe, but it has to do with the Devil moving peoples souls off of Earth, to another galaxy. Many witches during the trials etc... admitted the Devil had taken their soul and moved it off the planet, so they could escape God's judgement. In exchange they began serving him. I'm still a little confused if it's about a child of one of these "soul hiders", or their "hidden soul" returning to Earth to work etc... Basically something planted from a soul in another galaxy. If you ever hear anyone say "Star shine", or call themselves something related to "star", run the fuck away.

I think the guitar in this is based off that intro lick from She Sells Sanctuary.

What's going on at 4:58....Raine Maida is holding somebody with his left hand and somebody's holding him from behind.....and he keeps singing and it last for a while. Funny.

Its definitely not what it was....but hes in his 50s, so I'd say it's pretty good.

He's sounded like that for about 10 years. It seems like he's held back, to preserve his voice. If you ask me, he's been a little too cautious, and if he wanted to sing in the old way, it would be a lot more difficult, over time. Not singing in that way means that he'd have to adjust to it again.

Wish you would've sung the whole song then started talking...the end vocals are the best part, the big release.

Unfortunately, he can't hit those notes anymore because his voice is damaged, so he talks to fill in those spots.

@@-Only.Facts- Notes are not subject to speculation. Either you hit a note or you don't. Unless you want to change the rules of music that have existed since the beginning of time. Exhibit A: Every missed note in this video (which was most of them). Also, a tried and true rule of singers who can't hit certain notes is to turn the microphone to the audience and let them sing it, which he does multiple times. Objection overruled.

What happened to this band? Without Tagert it’s just a cold mess.

I don't think anyone thinks the vocals are good. The band is top form, which makes the vocals sound even worse by contrast.
