Really good album so far. Really like "Nice to meet you" sounds very new and still has their originality sound. I live out in Memphis Tennessee and it was nice to meet them when they came down

Interesting stuff. I really love this band and own all their records. Seems like a more soft-rock direction. Can't wait to hear more. Thanks so much for the upload.

Sounds good. Saw them live in London a few years ago when they toured the UK, really wish they'd come back so I can seem them again.

I love the single. I'm not really getting into the other 3, so far. I'm glad a lot of people like it, though. Still hopeful for Pt. 2.

As a very die hard OLP fan, loving most of what they've put out, I must agree. This might very well be there weakest material yet. Drop me in the water is fantastic but after a big 5 year drought, this is a let down. Hopefully part 2 has a bit more, drive to it.

The band released a short demo clip called "Say" during their vault releases they were doing. I'm kind of hoping that song made its way onto Vol.2. Its a shame if it were to have been scrapped or deconstructed back from the ground up. It holds a lot of potential.

Is it on your channel? I don't remember it offhand. Also do you know what the deal is with "Won't Turn Back"? Was that just a random single, not apart of any new album?

**I made an amv with 'drop me in the water' rly different than their other stuff. Its like churchey preacher music now. I think the first one is the strongest, but it is simple...the beat is really catchy and the instrumental is awesome just the lyrics are so simple, I wish they had more depth. Really different, I can appreciate that. Kinda reminds me of certain components of gravity but with more church preacher take. I still think healthy in paranoid times is more to my liking given the depth of those songs, but new things are nice sometimes.

Some of their better work since Gravity, in my opinion.

Thanks again for this! Any idea what the deal is with "Won't Turn Back"? Is it just now a random single and music video and nothing to do with new album now? I'm glad they didn't make a whole album that tried to be as pop-like as that song, but it kind of grew on me regardless. One song like that is alright, so maybe it's better it ended up not being apart of this album that we know of yet anyway.

From what I understand, the band was in the process of writing new material for a potentially upcoming album around the time of Won't Turn Back. Just before the single was dropped, Jeremy announced his departure from the band. I can't say how long this was coming, if it was sudden or if it was something discussed for some time. Regardless, I imagine with Jeremy gone and now without a drummer the situation put a bit of conflict in their recording plans and thus any potential album was put on the shelf for the time being.

I just saw your response, lol. The new drummer is in the video they made for that song, but you might be right. As in they wrote the song obviously before making the video.

itunes is lossy format and sounds like shit. Even Steve Jobs didn't use itunes for his favourite artists, he used bootleg rips.

I feel like OLP is chasing different rock subgenres in hopes of a hit song. Falling Into Place could be from Lumineers or Mumford and Sons. Nice to Meet You seems like a contemporary pop-rock sound, something akin to Imagine Dragons. While these are not bad bands, these songs are not as unique as past releases. I miss old OLP.

Falling Into Place is vastly inferior and kind of corny compared to the other 3, but overall this first half of the album is good. Shaping up to be better than Curve at the very least.

Tharpedo Entertainment I disagree. I do however feel that their vaulted stuff should be realised. Overall, this album is very poor. Hiding Place for Hearts showed a glimmer of their former glory, but still it plummeted into insignificance to their previous works.

Of the 4, Falling into Place is easily my least favorite. Excluding the single and the previously mentioned, the other 2 are starting to grow on me but I still feel they could have done much better. Curve had some duds but songs like Fire in the Henhouse, Heavyweight and Rabbits are far superior in creative terms and artistic dynamic. Regardless, I'm glad there are people liking it. As I've said, I'm inclined to believe this is they're weakest work but it is beginning to grow on me. I just hope part two isn't more of the same.

I get where you're coming from, but Curve was fan-freaking-tastic in my opinion. Certainly better than Burn, Burn at least. It had a very art-rock feel to it Window Seat, Mettle, Fire in the Henhouse, and Rabbits being my personal favorites. That being said, I didn't think the other songs were bad at all. They erred a bit too much on the side of commercial alternative rock, but not bad at all in my opinion. This new stuff sounds like an extension of Curve's art-rock vibe. I'm stoked for the second half.
