6:41: always a good spokesman for traditional Catholicism and apologist, but occasionally in his telecasts makes errors (quite normal and in those days, live TV, couldn't be edited) it was Lucia, of course, not 'Maria', also Jacinta and Francesco [incidentally he calls them Jacinthe, Francis] by-the-way I was in Fatima years ago, part of a pilgrimage - Fatima Lourdes and Rome - a memorable experience.

The dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary says that she was already redeemed at the moment of her conception. The critics may argue that there is a time difference. Her son was not crucified until about 50 years later. How can Mary be redeemed before the Son was born in Bethlehem. Answer ፡ For God there is no before and after. That is why all people who were born before the time of Jesus can retrospectively be redeemed. Also for the one crucified together with Jesus, the time is "today you will be with me in paradise!" Here, too, the difference of 3 days is irrelevant God is everything at the same time. For humans there is a sequence of events.

So sorry you are missing out on understanding and receiving Mary as your mother . She is an intercessor.

What Jesus said about his mother: Luke 11:27 As he said this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts that you sucked!” 28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Jesus says the truly blessed are those who obey his word. All of this emphasis on his mother is misdirected devotion that should go to Jesus. He said no one goes to the Father except by Him. He is the one exalted in the Bible, not his mother.

@@Mike65809 Idolatry??? Devotion to Mary acts as a mirror that reflects back on Jesus: "Do whatever He tells you," she says in John 2:5. "All generations shall call me blessed" Luke 1:48. Do Protestants not read Luke chapter 1 in fear of praying a Hail Mary? You need to do some serious research into what Marian devotion is about before taking to the keyboard again.
