What if you had the cabinetry team make you a custom kickplate for under the over that hides the feet? This would solve the stainless steel problem and would help keep under the oven clean and prevent toys getting stuck there in the future because that’s 100% guaranteed to happen 😂 That oven is so dreamy! And I’m so excited to see that chandelier all done and hanging over your table!

Designer here you can have your cabinet makers make the kickplate run through so it almost gives a built in look. But it does give a little bit of a modern feel. But Ilve is really great I really love them!

I have no idea why I’m so invested in this, but I’m so happy that you got crystals. Crystals on a chandelier just make life worth living. But I agree about the balance thing, when there’s too many crystals, it gets kind of crazy.

Yes! French to me is crystals. Also many of those fancier Chandler had Murano glass beads all over them, that's why the were priced so high. But the one you found is perfect!

The ONLY issue I have with crystals on the chandelier, is that when you put those into a kitchen setting they accumulate so much grime and dust so so so quickly and you’re having to clean them so often 😭. It was the bane of my existence for a while.

Both Hallman and ILVE make a toe kick for this oven to completely cover the open space they sell them at AJ Madison and Fergusons that I've seen. And I LOVE the crystal chandelier. Perfect!

A brass grill across the bottom of the stove would be lovely. Leaving that bottom of the stove looks so unfinished. Also, things like kids and dogs toys can get caught under. A custom grill would be chefs kiss. Beautiful work. Can't wait to see the finished kitchen

Just a heads up, if you can purchase the extended warranty from where you bought the oven, do so. They're out of Italy and finding a repair person/getting parts can be really difficult. My husband has been fixing high end appliances for almost 20 years. 😅

We have this oven and in the first 3 months had to have a repair man out three times due to broiler, and then two burners not working. It is hard to find a repair man- I suggest an extended warranty as well.

And with an electric oven, you can have a convection fan that aids with consistent heating while your food cooks. Gas ovens often have cold spots. I *looooove the clothes you got from ThredUp. I love there are 2 ovens like my parents had in the 1950s.

Can’t wait for all the kitchen things! You could put that dresser in your living room once you move all your kitchen items back into the finished kitchen. You could use it like a console table and storage for baby things downstairs behind your couch under those two large canvas paintings, as a way to keep and use it!

Use the dresser on the back wall of your living room as temporary storage for your temporary kitchen. Then use it there as a place holder before you build your bookshelves. Style the art and other stuff like a console above it.

For the oven feet I would look for a local metal worker to make custom feet covers. Would probably still be a couple hundred bucks but you could get the exact look you want and you’ll be supporting a local artisan. So excited to see the progress!

Those crystals are gorgeous! I love crystal chandeliers, but I often hear people say, that they don't like them, because they imagine, they are too fiddly to clean... But honestly, its not bad. In reality, all lamps are going to need some cleaning, and for the amount of joy, a sparkly chandelier will bring, it is not bad! I have an empire style chandelier, with tons of small, drop crystals. That one really does not have that many, so easy!! You just dust it carefully occasionally, and then once or twice a year, get a ladder, 2 microfiber cloths, and some window cleaner! Spray on one cloth, and clean the crystal, then, if needed, polish a little with the dry cloth. If, at any point during the day, the sun is able to reach your crystal chandelier - you will have rainbows all over the room 😁

The light and the stove are magnificent on their own but will be even better together.

MaCenna!! I had the exact same issue with the ilve stainless feet. And I was told you need all four legs done if you want the clawfoot feet. So literally today I made ‘covers’ with a brass colored metal sheet from Amazon and secured the sheets into a tube around the leg with brass fasteners (like buttoning a sleeve cuff, I went to fashion school also haha)

TO DIE FOR!!! Oh my heavens...that chandelier is Amazing! And....the oven is brilliant in black & brass....the kitchen is going to be fabulous!

I thought you were nuts when you first said you didn’t want crystals. Sooo glad you went with crystals!!!! I have a similar chandelier. It’s 24 inches wide, so smaller, but similar in detail with the brass and crystal placement. You will NOT regret it!!!! Absolutely beautiful, Macenna!

Also you should order the scroll feet for sure!! HOWEVER, the specs for these ovens are for Euro kitchens and are lower than the US. Therefore my husband and house builder came up with the idea to get metal angle iron that was the 2 inches or so difference that we painted white, to match our oven, you would do black. This went between the bottom of the oven to the top of the feet and stretch the full length of the 48" oven. You don't even notice it as it just looks like an additional skirt panel for the oven below. now... If you don't do something like this to fill the gap, the scroll feet are too short by about 2 inches or so and you see a gap since your range will need to sit to the US counter height. But it is worth the effort to not have a gorgeous range... with IKEA looking feet! And you only need the two for the front, you cannot see the back.

That's a spectacular idea. Will it work with the adjustability? One part fits inside the other and twists so it can be leveled - especially important with her brick floors - and I'm wondering if it would either interfere with being able to be twisted (if the coating is too thick) or if it would be scratched and unsightly from twisting. Just some things to consider...

Have you thought about building a kick-board in front of the oven to hide the legs? It would also prevent things rolling under there :)
