Yes traditions are important to follow, they also allow us to enjoy the core values that make us who we are. This is also meant to inspire anyone in LDR that our traditions can still be adhered to thanks to technology .thanks for rewatching

The same principles the only differences may be in the details. The presents with us come with or after “dowry” which have a different name with us called “ Lobola” in South Afrikaans. But has different names according to ethnic groups, meaning the same thing. I am very proud that we are keeping our traditions. Keep it up and teach your children now that your parents have taught you💕👍🏿

Omg! My husband and I planned our wedding at the AG without involving our families, his family was not in Kenya and I had fear that my father will deny our marriage bcz he had not met the family of my husband. God worked it out and everything went well, recently joined him in the USA 🇺🇸 through spouse visa and we are truly grateful, the wait was long but worth. Your story is powerful, may you live to inspire many out there. Thanks .

@@ELANDNIC we wedded on Nov 2020, we documentarily qualified on june 2021, got my interview appointment on april 2022, did my medical 3 days prior the interview, that day was hell, but i managed. Just like you guys, my husband was in Kenya when I got the interview appointment. The interview was tricky the 3rd question saved me when I told the interviewer that he is around. Can only say God has been faithful to us.

@@ELANDNIC It has much to do with your manner of speaking English and the way you sound - not typical kikuyu. Your dad and husband are typical kiuks. You're more polished but with a speech style commonly associated with luo community.

Yes I did... when they ask you to tell them about your relationship and where you guys met..so at this point you tell them everything ofcoz mentioning all the highlights that you wrote on your earlier statement that's already with them on record and any other update related to your relationship that may have happened after the submission.

Some people say that we can have this before our interview because a traditional introduction is considered a wedding and can result in a K-1 visa denial. How accurate is this? Or does it depend on how you present your story, such as mentioning dowry and other details?
