    What masking paper do you guys prefer ?

  • @NewmanTractor

    @NewmanTractor

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey Jonathan! Pretty much any auto store's paper will work well. Of course, 3M is best but it depends on the job you're looking to do and how much you're looking to spend. Tape is the more important element because that's what's going to ensure your paper doesn't move on you. We use yellow 3M tape, and there are all different widths you can use both for those tapes and the masking paper! I hope that helps - feel free to kick us any more questions you have and thank you for following along!

    Amazing job… if I may ask why do you guys use gravity guns instead of pressure cup guns that can hold more paint and easier to maneuver on tight spots or upside down… not trying talk shit it’s just that I’ve painting heavy equipments well for almost 20 years now and I’ve only use gravity guns for touch ups

  • @NewmanTractor

    @NewmanTractor

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thank you! Absolutely, your question is totally valid. For us, we use gravity guns or pressure pots based on the specific job and the preference of the painter for that job. Oftentimes we are working on scaffolding, and the gravity guns are easier for certain techs to maneuver when working up and down that scaffolding. Again, it depends for us on the specific job type. I hope that helps explain a little bit what our take is on gravity guns and painting! Let us know if we can help in any other way as well!

    Sometimes pressure pots are more efficient in many situations. We have used them in the past. It's more efficient for us to use hvlp guns opposed to pressure pots because we don't use as much material and we don't have waste cleaning lines. Thanks so much for watching our videos Tre and hope you have a great day!

    If your painting industrial you dont use a cup gun and paint sticks dont have a sealer on them, the chemicals in commercial paint would make any type of wood sealer break down
