Our Hydraulic Press Bunker Is Now BULLET PROOF

Ғылым және технология

We got finally our bunker 100% bullet proof and therefore we can move forward to even stupider and more dangerous hydraulic press experiments! In this video we instal AR500 roof, door and window framings and of course bullet proof windows. Then we test them out with some ball bearing crushing
You can now buy your own hydraulic press through us! Press inquiries hpc@profipress.info
Here is the link where you can check out standard Profi Press models rhtc-workshoppress.com/ and if you need special custom made machine just send email and Profi Press engineers will design machine that suits your needs.

If you intend to film with expensive cameras through one of the windows, you may get reflections on the window from light outside of the bunker. You could reduce this by putting the whole camera in a black box against the window, or putting a 'skirt' around the lens with a fabric that doesn't let light through. I remember this skirt being a commercial product, but couldn't quickly find it. It used suction cups to stick to the glass.

"Decoupling" is a good engineering principle to know, both for soundproofing and for preventing forces from spreading through systems and damaging them. You ended up with some good decoupling between roof/walls and window/walls already. They can flex and give without breaking. So, I think you did really well even though you said you had no idea what you were doing. If you really wanted to eliminate all extraneous sound, you could pad the press frame and the press surface (those two metal platforms) with foam, mass loaded vinyl, or even just deaden them with a lot of tape. A bunch of loosely-connected mass will do the trick. But, those platforms do make some great ringing sounds!

2:12 If I had to guess, it’s about wave propagation. The way the layers interact can be more or less effective depending on order of contact. Think of the spalling that happened on armored vehicles and emplacements during WW1 and WW2. Ring those bells so hard the innermost layers shattered and flew off even if the armor didn’t get penetrated. Modern armors use a brittle material in front to shatter and abrade a projectile as it goes in. All placed in front of a more flexible structure.

I was working in a company that produced springs. And it rarely happened that on the set press a spring went flying...so that area was the most dangerous place in the building. They said that getting shot with a rifle would be less painful and even a high grade ballistic vest would not protect you. I saw the damage a flying spring Made and only one employee had to go to the trauma center and he did survive... the building is 120m long and the spring smashed through the cage, flew 80m hitting a fire protection door that a guy was just opening (he got hit in the face by the door and thrown back...only injured person), the door and frame was destroyed and pushed out of the wall, the spring flew 120 m back against a concrete wall and left a little Crater on the Impact point and flew another 90m before hitting the ground

Starting at 19:17 the slow-mo sounds cool, like ambient electronic music.

Maybe you could add some kind of shade/awning thing over the windows on the outside to reduce glare?

Check the prepper and flat earther forums for dating matches. Just to make sure you find someone who shares your love of bunkers

I'd rather die alone than marry a flat earther... I plan on marrying someone who understands physics. If we're going to be bouncing radio signals off of the stratosphere and the moon together from the bunker, he better understand how the goddamn thing works. That goes double for when I get my pilot's license and fly us places, I will have no patience for arguing about the "ice wall" when I'm trying to navigate around the GLOBE. 😂

Wow, looks amazing. Now you can get more crazy with pressing :) I wonder what sort of dents or wall damage a piece of metal will do in there popping out at the speed of sound? It will contain it, which is the most important thing.

You need to make a special camera mount(s?) to do a still shot, daily, of the state of the room from the inside. As the press explodes things and the walls wear and get chipped and things embed into it you will be able to put the stills together like a time lapse and show how powerful it really is. Always looking forward to your videos. Thanks!

I can't wait for big springs! FYI I think the word you're looking for is a 'hinge' (soft 'g'), i.e the thing that doors swing on. Google "door hinge" to confirm we're talking about the same thing. 👍
