Sadly it's unlikely as a paraplegic I have witnessed and experienced so many situations in wich a person flat out rejects or leaves there partner shortly after getting together solely based on disability related reasons. I have had wemon say things to me casually that make me lose the will to live even if only for a moment. It's not impossible, but it will be hard.

Guy I call Dad to this day at 37 yrs old was married to my mother from the time I was 7 to 18. I love when disabled people are shown as just people with just relationships and just lifes. And not as some dramatic story for abled people to cry about and forget in 10 minutes. I have this crying stories shoved into my head and it's hard to not immediately feel sad and dramatic when I see disabled people, like, just sitting there chilling? I try to change my perspective and just see people. And not some materialised soap opera entities. This helps ❤

@@indiomoustafa2047 I have same feelings about some of caregivers of autistic people with high support needs. I have ADHD and my brother is autistic with relatively high needs. And our mother is either narcissistic or extremely close to it. I saw my whole childhood and teenagehood this thing you're talking about and I have physical reaction to autism moms like that. They make it about themselves. They can even make their kids more disabled. Like mine, when instead of giving me essential skills of caring about myself, she was manipulating, gaslighting, guilt tripping and all that me into the belief that I'm hopeless and will never be able to care about myself properly without her help (I'm able, I just wasn't taught to and now I have to do parents' job to myself). And that's while she already has one kid with obvious needs for support anyway. So I understand your concern. When I was writing I saw that not so much from a perspective of a person who's taken care of, but from a perspective of a wife. I simply thought that I wouldn't leave my husband if he became disabled, because of our connection. Idk, it's complicated. Some are proud autism moms and some are normal mothers of kids who happened to be autistic. Some interrupt their kids for attention and control, some genuinely help with mute moments, and all that... It's probably the same here? I don't know these specific women. I guess, there's a bigger chance you'll encounter bad people who want to use your disability, when you're already disabled.

Both heartwarming and a little sad. My mom was disabled and I pushed her wheelchair everywhere as a kid and young adult. This gives me memories of our times together going to the movies and always having the best seats. I miss her 😢

Sorry about the loss of your Mom. I took care of my Mom the last 6 years of her life because I didn't want Mama going into a "Retirement Home" it was the best 6 years of Mama's life, she told me that a day before she passed away. It was also the best time I had with my Mom because she got to tell me all the stories of growing up in the 40's and 50's and she got to see her Granddaughter every day. There is not a day that passes I don't miss my Mama & Daddy but let your heart rest knowing you got that time with your Mom and she was happy.

You guys are just adorable. Your loves last longer than people with no physical issues. Its alot to be proud of. May God keep blessing you❤❤❤❤

Seeing you two ride on the back of the chairs brought tears to my eyes. My father was a quadriplegic and I used to do that ALL the time, anywhere I went with him. I barely ever had to walk around as a kid. Love you always, daddy

We would see this mom and her 2 kids growing up. At first they would be on her lap. As they grew, only the youngest was. Then they both would walk beside her. They always were smiling. I always would see them and think they were the luckiest kids. It hurt when i started seeing them walk alone :(

The commitments are more than regular marriages and people drop out of them so easily. I have sooo much respect for families who have disabilities in them and they make it a norm.

Trujillo, I’m sure that may be the case sometimes. There’s a difference between feeling bad because you don’t want to leave someone, and feeling bad because you want to leave someone but don’t want to let anyone down. It’s a complicated emotion being a little bit trivialized by a KZread short, but since I have faith in humanity I’ll choose to believe that these couples truly love each other.

The non-disability person has more option to explore what they need and because of that there are no guarantee of true love in this world, the only guarantee that can be reach by a variant of each person limitations is their actual results towards what they do and what they can see. Humanity isn't build based on faith, kindness, or evil but a situation that drive them to do things. Even though they believe in God there aren't any satisfaction and emotional that can be calculated properly, thus there are no guarantee of faith towards emotional range, only the result of action that project into actual reality not feelings or mind.

Well Davey, YOU'RE reading the comments, aren't you? And adding more hate. I guess you've never been around anyone with disabilities before and heard people say cruel things to them. I have. These young kids are trying a new way to reach out and explain what they face daily. They're not trying to be famous, they're trying to make a living in social media and doing a damn good job at it by educating people and companies on how to be inclusive and recognize ableism. Stay a while and maybe you'll be better by learning better.
