Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, were in Tennessee! I was stationed in Millington ( outside of Memphis), 50 years ago. People would argue over who was going to take one of us to their home for dinner, after church. It left a long lasting impression on me, and I fondly remember it still today. The Gentry family ( and friends), are the same type of down home folks! God Bless you !

May god bless you for not bothering his wife in a time of grief. You sir are a stand up man. As far as the house god will bless you. One day you will be able to look back and laugh. I once came home to a oak tree in my living room. At the time it was devastating but in the end it’s a object. My family and I were safe and that’s what counts.

Glad to hear you are not paying attention to the haters, and you will be yourself on the channel. Hope your house situation turns out good and you can quickly move back in. And we don't care if you don't meet deadlines or don't get videos out all the time. I'm owner operator, and know how busy you are. Drive during the week and work on the truck on the weekend. You are a busy man, but we love you because you are American, you are Christian, and you are taking care of your family. You're a pretty good role model

Here's a tip. Turn off the main water valve to prevent the pressure from bursting the pipes and you can prevent that from happening. It might be troublesome but it's worth the trouble than spending money on fixing the house

I've not had a house flooding problem but I've had just as bad and worse from a different direction. Be thankful that you haven't had the lovely experience of having a serious work related injury that changed your life forever. I've been forced into early retirement, I lost my cdl, my rig, my marriage, my home and everything I worked for. I am in so much pain all day, every day that it has driven me to do horrible things to myself that landed me in the nut house on more than one occasion just trying to escape from the pain. At the time I was injured, I was in the process of really getting my life going. I was only 26 and had multiple careers, trucking and heavy equipment were actually secondary to what I was originally doing from the beginning. I was a programmer, electronics engineer for computer systems a networking engineer and computer science major for a long time and I actually started doing all that stuff around the age of 12, I knew more than many people who had their bachelors degrees by the time I was 16 and never needed to open a single book when I finally broke down and went to college for the degrees. I also took interest in mechanics at a young age as well as well as working heavy equipment at the same time. To top all that, I taught myself to play instruments at a young age. I had so many career interests and was working on 3 at by my mid 20's only to lose all of it due to a stupid injury that caused a lifelong onset central nervous system disease which just destroyed my life. Now, I'm stuck worrying every single time that something happens if I will be able to handle it myself due to my low financial income. Its beyond an anxiety attack any time something happens to my junk car that barely runs and seems to have a problem with it every other day leaving me to wonder if I'll be able to get to the pharmacy to get the medicine I'm stuck on and cannot stop taking or risk serious health risks by results of not having it in my system. Thank God that you haven't had to face such problems in your life and pray you never will...

You would actually be surprised!! I understand some are worse than others but it takes me 1hr every morning just to be able to handle the pain to get going in the mornings.. once I’m moving good if I slow down any during the day it completely starts over. I don’t believe in pain medicine it’s all junk!! I believe in hard work and nothing should hinder that I know guys missing legs and arms that work there butts off… I can’t let a little pain from decisions I made in life stop me

water line breaks suck and destroy things!! I had a cousin that went on a 3 week vacation and they returned to a busted 3/4 inch main water line bursted in their pantry by the water heater....The insurance and contractor think it ran for at least 2 weeks full throttle because their basement was COMPLETELY FULL OF WATER. The entire house was water soaked, it wicked up the walls and the sheetrock was all mushy! Their back yard was a swamp too. The basement windows and sill plates made a nice waterfall out into the yard.

Your right Tim, a lot of us like these old rigs more than show-trucks, don't sell your rigs short, you got some sweet rigs Tim, could they be better?, sure, and I'm sure at some point they will be, I do think you should set aside the AF and the yellow cab-over for you and the wifey to enjoy once you start to slow-down, by the time you retire those old cab-overs will be classified as actual fossils, and here you'll have two like-new, totally pimped-out cab-overs, lol, WOW!, I forgot that truck had a cummins engine in it, dang Tim!, put that AF cab on that frame and be done with it.

My first truck I drove was a 1988 KW T600 with a big cam 400 and 15 speed. coffin sleeper, and single axle. Hauled doubles of sheep trailers. My last truck was a 2004 Freightliner Classic XL with a N14E red top 600 mated to 13 speed. That was my last truck and I miss it very much. Keep up the great work and keep on grinding the gears. Thank you for your effort to share the love drivers have for the history of trucking.

Porter greetings…even on vacation. Hate to hear about the water invasion. Go after those groundhogs or gophers in the backyard. Lol. A place to meet up with ya…that sounds good. Come and get your truck worked on and stay the night in the bunkhouse. Sounds like something they did in the old days! 🧐 Use the green IH for parts and maybe you’ll have a chance to get the title for it later perhaps. That’s putting what you have to good use. There’s a lot that goes on in trucking…it can get quite chaotic at times, right? Do you remember the old saying, “Never judge a man until you walk a mile in their shoes”? Just BE YOURSELF! That’s all that matters! We know that some days you’re serious and others you’re just letting off steam or whatever. Keep it real man! Thanks for keeping the love for old trucks REAL! I like the new trucks, but the old trucks are really much better looking to me…they got personality! 🧐😎😍🥰😁🤩😳

I used to work at a Ralston Purina mushroom farm 45 years ago and we used the old military 6 x 6s to haul that compost. We ran 2 of them 16 hours a day 7 days a week and they only shut down long enough to change the oil and they ran like that for years.

There is a simple system made by a few different companies that automatically shuts the water off to the house anytime flow exceeds normal usage. It is a simple electric valve and flow meter that is plumbed in the main line. You can see the flow from your phone or computer and you can turn the water off remotely at any time. The entire kit is $500 and it will save you hundreds of thousands of dollars. I have installed many of them and it takes under a hour to install.

I love that you enjoy Cabovers. It seems that so many truckers hate them. Really unfortunate about the home.

Tim does major projects like we do laundry , like it was nothing for instance "we're going to be demolishing our house and rebuilding it " . For most of us that would be the biggest project in our lives for Tim it's "meh" ...Gotta love the guy
