I love watching you two make a home! I love to decorate, when I brought my houseplants in for the season, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them all. My livingroom looks like a greenhouse, which I know you will appreciate. Also, I live spring and summer vicariously through you, since in Ohio, it's getting quite chill.

I totally agree with the sentiment at the beginning. My fiancé and I don’t think our first and current home will be forever but we won’t skimp on making it how we want it because we want to enjoy it while we are here ❤️ love hearing you guys think the same!

Thank you!! Yes, we both just had new cuts haha and he’s getting quite fit with all his biking to work from our new home out by the sea haha and my curls today are my new Dyson!! I’m so in love with it!

Coastal is super fun, although can turn a bit tacky very quick haha I’m going to enjoy finding the balance 🤪

Oh my goodness the boat glass pattern! 🥰 My grandparents 70s home (rural Australian home 5hrs from the nearest beach) had sliding doors with this, absolutely beautiful and nostalgic 😊

I can't wait to see how everything turns out! With those inspiration photos you showed I'm sure it'll look amazing! Do you have any tips or resources for finding design inspiration? I vaguely know what I like, but I have a hard time finding examples. Any recommendations for accounts to follow/magazines/search terms would be much appreciated!

I think doing some research into design terminology has helped me a lot! Eg knowing what the term Coastal, Nautical, Rustic, Farmhouse etc etc all mean, helps me to google images, and then I save what I love and can see what I don’t liked, too!

It would be cool if you guys could keep a tally of costs for your renos as you go along! (only if you're comfortable sharing it of course). Hopeful first home buyer here 🙋🏼‍♀and trying to figure out if it's worth going for something that needs work doing to save costs 😬 keen for the DIY though!

Yes, although I don’t want to get tooooo farmhouse as we don’t live on a farm 🤣🤣 I want it to lean more coastal but I seriously can’t find the right inspo pictures - I guess I’ll be creating something quite unique haha

We will if we do a proper bathroom Reno :) it’s not worth the cost if we aren’t fully renovating it to add sockets!

Yes, it’s spelt Bach (but pronounced Batch) and it is exclusively a small, humble holiday home in NZ!

Yep, and the sea spray zone, but if there was ever a really bad Tsunami, most of Christchurch would be affected, as it’s all very low lying and has the Avon river running right through it!

Why is it that you tubers think renovating homes is interesting. Most people don’t have any income these days so it seems really obnoxious
