Our Gift of Love to Jesus: Refusing Spiritual Showmanship (Matthew 6) | Mike Bickle

Notes: ihopkc.org/mb/fs/07012022
Mike Bickle exhorts us to contend for a culture of humility that exalts Jesus and to partner with God’s plan to raise up the next generation. “The largest, most broken, self-centered, narcissistic, ‘me' generation of young people will be so transformed that they may be God’s vessels that will experience more power with more public visibility (social media) that any generation in history, resulting in the billion-soul harvest. Yet they will be the most humble, Christ-exalting generation that refuses to draw attention to self.”

The sermon is prophesying the Asbury Revival!!! Amazing! Listening to this after the Asbury Revival has started sends the fear of the Lord into our hearts!!! This is a revival of humility!!!!

Amen and Its bigger than Asbury I have been blessed to have been shown where I live and go to church in Ontario Canada. Its so amazing to see there are so many young people in ministry going to school and going to church. Its happening all over. God is doing this outpouring for us. Oh how he loves us.

To experience Joy is what we should hopefully be feeling when we understand the first commandment and I know when I worship on Church now I worry less about what I look like but I will enjoy it. I am a musician and I love to feel the song of my heart being sung to the Lord. I feel him humble my voice and put a warble in it. I don't play for the worship team at church but we worships at home and I play and sing and I am not a professional and I am old but its worship. Getting personal about it and bringing my talent is something God helps me do to make it something I am doing better with his help. I love these teachings so much. Its so good to see the impact and where it is going.

This message so touched my heart. Thank you Forerunner Church Ministry for your obedience following Jesus and His ways. I have been viewing this ministry for almost three years regularly and my life has changed. My biggest thank you goes to my Lord and Savior Jesus for placing this ministry before me because I am hungry for truth and His Heart.

There has to be an eternity in heaven because I can't thank God enough for dear Pastor Mike here. It's hard to believe it was way back in the 1980s I was first blessed to be under his divine anointing and he's stayed true and gracious despite the absurd charges of his detractors. I so miss him and his then ministry partner, dear Michael Sullivant and Daniel Brymer, God bless them all.

I see leadership is changing in this and I am seeing these gifts coming back and the Holy Spirit was revealed to a few with just quiet prayers and some hands laid and some not. There was not a big excitement but people were humbled so by the Lords Spirit and they were changed in his love. Its something we are taking home to our families. I was given this only a few weeks before and God kept on humbling me when I interact with him. I interact with him all day and he helps me. I know I can pass on this love he gives me and I have seen the look on peoples faces when they receive it and it is wonderful. Its an opportunity to talk about Jesus and should be. If I can encourage people I meet in any way it gets their attention and I am not good at talking to people about the Bible. I can talk about the Lord though and what he does for me and for my loved ones and my church and what he can do for everyone and wants to right now. If I love who I am taking to then they can be humbled enough to experience Gods calling them.

When I saw a video of a mass faith healing session I could not help but feel the spirit move in me. I know what I was seeing was authentic but I also was not sure if I was seeing this showmanship. I found I could not judge the pastor but I would use caution to be so excited and loud that I would lose something of my humility in it and that idea scares me. I believe it is fear of God. I know now that people react in different ways when they get the spirit but it is the outcome that I watch and if I see people are recognizing it is Jesus and they make a commitment or become dedicated with loving the Lord in the first commandment. God takes over when its passed and is in control the whole time but I see and feel the spirit go from my heart to others hearts. God showed me I could pass it on in worship by looking and thinking of the others around me and as I put my eyes on each one they raised up their voices louder and sure to the Lord and I was amazed. I do not want to make anyone to be even tempted to think its about me. People love to make a big deal when they see it and some want to ask for the answers. I know there is a reason to have the use of his help in this way and if it is done in love then it is his purpose. He tells me to share about the wedding parable and greatest commandment and practical application of his love to love others with and to clean our own house and with his help keep it that way. A clear conscience can see better and hear him better but most of all it opens our hearts to receive to give it back to him first and then onto others. Its a design for living where we can know our identity and be sure of who we are and what we do we do for the Lord first.

Stagecraft was so essential in all the bar bands I was in. I can recognize it a mile off and I've done it. Thanks Mike.

Excellent! Thank you so much Mike! Truly needed. I wanted to mention that although I agree with you about not being sinful, there are some so eager to fit in the secular world they imitate revealing outfits and body movements during their dance "worship" that are sinful in nature. Thank you again. Truly needed in today's world where the "look at me" syndrome is so prevalent even in the body of Christ.

Oh man! This is so good, BUT as a worship leader I would LOVE to have Point E that is for the worship leaders that Mike skipped over…..Does anyone have that information they can give me? Other than that this message really brings conviction to me through the Holy Spirt. I hunger to be more humble in order that it’s all about Jesus and not me.
