True... People always judging first bc it is K-Pop song. They don't want to dive into the lyrics first bc it is not in english or their own native language. Too bad they don't see and receive the message of the song that actually can help us realize what's important in this life.

This song is amazing, I remember Yoongi saying “the world never teaches you how to dream but always promotes competition.” I take it as a way of comforting us telling it’s ok not to have a dream just be happy, fallow your own pace.

Very much so! Whenever I describe them, I say that their foundations are in Hip Hop and R&B. I can't tell you to looks and responses I get, until I play that person a few songs. 🤣 BTS is so much more than what most people expect and that's not even getting beyond surface level. 💜

This song is a fave, and I can't believe y'all just getting to it. They all turned rappers in this song, especially Jimin, he was literally sing-rapping, lol. He didn't let that beat breathe.

Because life is too tiring sometimes. Btw I love your intro. It's so beautiful ❤️💜

This is one of those songs that gets missed a lot by people that weren't ARMY at the time and is still one of my favorites songs. I recommend it to everyone because the rapping/singing, beat and lyrics are sick! So glad you did and love this one. Check out Love Maze. 💜

This song encompasses BTS and their message. They said life is a marathon. A marathon is run differently by many runners some fast and some slow but we all end up in the same place... you get me? We all running to the same finish line so they say “each breath is exhaled in paradise “ because your already here in this world living in your paradise. Stop chasing a dream in the future when NOW is paradise. That’s why RM says if the future is a dream then what did I have in my bed? He’s saying dreams are FANTASY we have in our beds and chasing dreams in life ALWAYS in the future is also a fantasy. Having dreams is like a debt....it’s like a debt we pay by chasing after it with our life. He is saying every small attainable goal can be a dream like buying a laptop or eating or even just sleeping in. SO JUST STOP running towards a fantasy and breath in your paradise (life) now because your life is a gift and precious now. Yoongi raps like dreams are meaningless anyways because it’s all just the world yelling at you what your dream SHOULD BE like comparing you to others. Just dream your own dream even if just surviving is your dream. This song is one of my favorites having a dream has taken on a new meaning for me because of it.

I'm so happy someone already told you this. I'd like to add, when I first heard him say this a part of me didn't understand. Coming from America where we're told to dream big, a bit of me wanted to disagree. But when I thought of it I realized that people say dream big but really don't teach you how. unless your talent is undeniable, unless your dream is "normal" people don't really encourage you. Instead your parents tell you about the importance of stability and getting a good job. Your childhood dreams shatter quietly and easily are sent to literal dreamland. From what I've learned the pressures put on the youth in Korea are harsher. From an early age you are taught to study study study. If you aren't number one then you are basically a loser. Hence the high rate of suicides. The pressures seem so heavy and there is zero time to dream. "No one teaches you how to dream ..."

Paradise was one of my first favorites. I was so sure it was a “love song” until I looked up the lyrics and that was the first time I realized BTS was on another level and that nothing is what it seems. The second time was “House of Cards”. After I realized “134304” was literally about Jupiter and “Pied Piper” was telling these kids to do their d@mn homework I was officially sold and wondered why my kid wasn’t listening, LOL!! I’m currently obsessed with “Can You Turn off Your Phone” and often break out singing it to said kid when I’m about to smash her phone to bits. When I tell you my level of respect, which was already very high, went through the roof, the hole is still there, okay. My hubby hasn’t listened to more than a song or two we’ve made him listen to but he did listen as I went on and on explaining (during the Dynamite comeback) why they’re so influential and special. I’m like y’all, o wasn’t expecting to feel the way that I do about this group but if you take the time to listen and understand what’s really going on here how can you NOT be in awe of such a group of YOUNG people who are not only positive but don’t write garbage songs that you don’t want your kid listening to. They’re the only group that is taking their status and position seriously and realizes that their words MATTER...unlike these other artists out here. I boycotted the radio years ago and I don’t even turn it on, LOL!! I listen to my music library, iTunes or what plays at work but BTS is the first new music I’ve given a chance in years and I’m so glad I did and I’ve never, ever been disappointed and I’ve always been inspired. Music matter to me a whole lot more than many people (my hubby and I literally met in an HBCU band 😂) and I’ll listen to Earth, Wind and Fire, Incognito or (of course) MJ or Prince before I turn on the radio and listen to what’s in now. I’m also from era of sagging and big bass 🤦🏾‍♀️ so I do like a bop too, now, but unlike Uncle Luke n dem which you could NEVER let your kids know you listened to...I’ll knock some UGH and Cypher 3 too, now, lol. Their music really does something to my soul and it’s so refreshing. This song is definitely a song I have to turn up and stop what I’m doing and give it my full attention and you definitely have to engage “hard snap” mode and your hand may or may not hurt afterwards. It’s honest and real and raw and I love it!!

I think the lyrics are often under-rated and under-appreciated. They really have DEEP meanings.....they really speak to your soul.

I think BTS understands our generation so well! The competition, the expectation, everything being so fast paced.. all we need is some time... to understand what we really want from ourselves! To realise what OUR dream is.. "Stop running for nothing my friend"... Yup!
