Grits is a staple in the South. When it's cooked right with lots of butter and cheese. It's usually cooked for breakfast and it goes a long way. It's like a porridge. It's not for everybody

Grits appears to be similar to a hot cereal what Caribbean people eat called Cream of Wheat. However, we eat it with sugar and cream OR condensed milk, with nutmeg or cinnamon added! Grits is just so different to the way we eat it.

Also, Roscoe's is popular, but their food is not the best representation of soul food. It's basic. You needed to go into the Crenshaw area for soul food with soul 🤤😊. Did you get to the In N Out? That was a lot of butter on those grits😂, first off it looks like you guys didn't stir them up you're supposed too stir in the butter, mix them really good. Also you can add salt and pepper too taste, some people mix in hot sauce as well. I feel you I grew up on them but I'm not a fan anymore. Glad you enjoyed my city!
