We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in Chennai, India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language. Toboki - is pronounced Taw bok key 😂 its like a rice cake very delicious especially in South Korea I had my love for Korean food in Sydney Australia and Canberra Australia. So delicious

I always wait for Saturday and Wednesday or Thursday to watch your new videos. By the way, the Dookki restaurant is already in West Jakarta, Indonesia at Central Park Mall and the restaurant has been open since 2018. Your children behave very politely and have a pleasant attitude and they are very adorable especially Forest, the last youngest child. I look forward to watching the new video again. Crocs, be careful 2 of my friends have broken an arm and leg wearing Crocs, as they grip as you move forward and go flying.
That go cart racing was intense! They go fast! I was a bit worried for your family on the track at that speed. Glad everyone had a great time out there. One observation, if you don't focus too much on the signs, the mall almost feels American.

I used to work for orthopedic clinicians and I've learned the importance of wearing proper footwear after seeing so many patients in our clinic. Please spend money on proper footwear if you're going to walk around so much. I noticed the cheap slippers that you and your wife wear which might eventually create problems for your feet and legs. @BagsPackedFamily some information i found out I'm not 100 percent sure but I think the yellow curry is actually a india dish and the thailand version of curry is the red curry I found that pretty interesting have a blessed day 🙂

I have a question, do you think the things to do with kids are expensive? Both in relation to Indo and the US. I lived in Hanoi and locals thought fun things for kids were expensive. I don't know but $20 for the trampoline and $30 something for the go kart for the whole family in a high end mall seems reasonable to me.

So, doom and gloom, having given it some thoughts, I think malls will die, Vietnam in specific, Asia in general. I think Asia is going through what America went through, albeit at an accelerated pace. Lots of parallelisms, for example, coal to generate electricity, Silk and Roads / IMF, aircraft carrier development; and those malls. TLDR: The malls will die, enjoy them now while they're still around.
I think there will be more hot pots in our future 😋
