Sorry but you are wrong,, In the early days Bjorn and Benny denied the fact that it had anything to do with their divorces but as the years have passed Bjorn has absolutely confirmed that this song was a direct result of his inner emotions that came about after a heavy night of drinking, whiskey, alone, ( something that he never did) The words came in a very short space of time and all at once, less than an hour. This is the only time in ABBBA that this ever happened.. However what most people do not know is that it was Agnetha who left Bjorn and Christmas eve and took the children. Can you imagine how he must have felt....So it made far better sense to let Agnetha sing it and she did it so well the whole world believed it and love it....It is their best song by far...Bjorn is a very very talented and smart guy. He knew by allowing Agnetha to sing it it would be far more realistic and commercial,,, Now that is the real answer,,,, Everyone cried during/after recording this song except Benny but not all at the same time, but there were tears... It was 100% Bjorn's feeling all be it a year and a half later of his break-up/divorce from Agnetha.....As a devoted fan I really have to correct you, although no offence was taken, or given, I hope.....

@@michaelm3943 Let's see, with all due respect, but I don't agree it's one thing to write a song out of emotion, which is what Björn did, he wrote a story, but it's not 'His story of him' and also alike, Agnetha felt emotion reading it for the first time, but it's not 'His story of her' either It is not the idea to delve into the apparent reasons for the separation of Agnetha and Björn, we must respect their intimate and private life, and keep everything beautiful that they gave us in ABBA and in music Thank God they reunited as a group and gave us a fantastic new album, in what was the most important Musical Act of the new century.

Great Reaction Guys. Though it was, initially, denied this WAS about her divorce from one of the 2 Guys in the band and he WROTE the song and she had to perform it hence the emotion. BOTH Girls are Lead Singers though not on this lovely song.

the thing you should know is that Bjorn (Agnetta's ex) wrote the lyrics to the song. So she is singing a song with words written by her ex-husband while he is also onstage playing guitar! Awkward!!
