Explain this, I have seen this being said everywhere recently. From Jamaica so i don't understand. We call stuffing the thing that u put inside the meat and dressing is like thousand island,vingrette etc.

I’m also born and raised in Chicago. My family also identifies with specifically, cornbread dressing. I see stuffing as made with cubes from regular bread loaves. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Dressing is new to the black community. Traditionally we stuff the bird with the dressing. Now people refuse to put the dressing in the Turkey but prepare it separately. In my opinion, dressing is dry, stuffing is rich because it cooks with the bird, all the juices, butter and seasoning. Yum!

Dressing is not New to the black community. Most African Americans have enjoyed dressing for hundreds of years. I've never attended a Thanksgiving dinner without dressing. Have you seen Thanksgiving movies? Dressing on the table

My mom stopped stuffing the turkey and just baked it in a casserole dish and I’ve never stuffed a turkey. Had my first deep fried bird some yrs. back and it was superb. Have a safe week.

Well... I’m from North Carolina and we make stuffing, we stuff the turkey, no cranberries in our stuffing, we also make stuffing in the pan too!

You have very youthful looking parents. And l like the jellied cranberry sauce.

Of all things I noticed the Haverty’s furniture in the dining area at your parent !!!! My absolute favorite furniture store. Beautiful family. Just found you guys. Fun watching you grow in this new relationship and during COVID.

Lol dressing & stuffing to most of us are the same thing and there are many variations, including some with cranberries, apples, etc. Just like "...bake" and cassarole is typically the same thing (tuna bake/tuna cassarole). Also awww your mommy is soooo cute! She looks like she's your big sid and dad like young unlce, cousin beautiful, etc.☺️

The only difference between dressing and stuffing is how it's cooked - stuffed inside or cooked as a side dish to "dress" the meat/turkey. I'm black and the only reason I don't do stuffing is because I like it cooked separately so it crisps up on the top.

Dustin appears to have similar temperment as ur dad, true? Enjoyed all ur vids so far, keep up the hard work.😍

My Thanksgiving is baking a Turkey. It has a pop up plastic thing that will pop up when done. Mashed potatoes with gravy, some sweet potatoes. Green bean casserole, a fruit salad, biscuits. Sometimes a veggie tray. Pumpkin Cherry Apple pie(s).
