Doesn't matter what time of year you drive the Alcan highway, there's always roadwork being done. Because the permafrost below the road swells and contracts with the changing of weather, the road is always buckling. It's still an awesome drive! I last took it 4 years ago when I drove from Seattle to Anchorage and back for a summer job.

We knew the Alcan Highway could be a slow messy drive, which is why we drove to the Golden Gate bridge for photo ops, then up highway 1 and US 101 along the coast to Bellingham, WA and took the Alaska Marine Highway as these people did. It isn't cheap or fast, but neither is the Alcan Highway.
In 1968, when I was 8 years old, my family drove from California to Alaska on the Alaskan highway. But back then, the highway was mostly dirt!
Didnt your phones auto adjust to correct time? I mean honest mistake, Allison shouldn't have gotten yelled at though. She's a sweetheart. Enjoy the adventure!
Part of the Alaska Highway in Canada, is built over permi-frost and the road shifts a tremendous amount with the freeze and thaw cycles, My brother in law blew the axle on his trailer because of it on his vacation up there. Too bad you did not get to Buckshot Betty's roadhouse at Beaver Creek in the Yukon Territory..... its a bit further back from where you joined up the road . My Father was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army assigned there while they were building that road. Cheers Guys.....
Wow, what a scenic drive! Alaska and the west coast of Canada are eye watering beautiful!
Allison, you drive and handle the rv and ruby like a pro. Such a beautiful route. Lovely scenery
Not only was Alaska Highway made in about a year, it was mainly constructed by African American US Army engineer units. These guys were thrown into a completely foreign environment, and many thought they would fail. They did as much as the Tuskegee Airmen in advancing civil rights.

Yah - there was a huge effort made to build land transport to Alaska and Canada, because everyone assumed the Imperial Japanese had a big enough Army and Navy to threaten Canada and Alaska - Turned out the Japanese had no where near the number of ships or troops to threaten mainland North America - but the US and Canada built this infrastructure to deal with the threat - and we still enjoy the benefits to this day 🙂

This is a false statement. African Americans only made up 1/3 of the man who constructed the Alaskan Highway. There Were Ten Thousand men and most of the men were white Americans!

Same! So far it's been absolutely amazing. We're excited to see it all without feet of snow and ice on the ground this time 😍
Allison you are a boss driving Clementine and towing Ruby!! Stunning views! Great video~Cara 😊
Cheers from my family here in Ontario Canada. Just wanted to thank y’all for continuing to put out great content as always and for taking us on an epic journey so far.

Hey neighbors! Thank you so much! Glad you're enjoying the adventure...hopefully we'll get to spend more time in Canada on our way back down 🙌
It's extra special when 2 of your favorite RV KZreadrs take the same route. ❤
You guys really need to come to Vancouver Island 😊
Good to see you two (4, including Clementine & Ruby ☺️❤️) again and here's hoping you love Canada as much as my eldest daughter, Lis, does. Lis has moved to Kimberley, BC and has become a permanent resident there. ☺️❤️🖖

Well she certainly picked a pretty area to settle down. 😍 We still have lots to see and do in Canada, but we've loved everywhere we've been so far!
Epic video. Allison, you don't need to diet. You're in great shape. All the hiking you do helps.
It's so funny how you have to leave Alaska to go through Canada to get to Alaska again. It's so random up there, you'd think Canada would have just claimed it!
A few months ago my wife and I took a cruise from Vancouver to Anchorage and the inside passage as well. It was unbelievably beautiful. We’ve been to Anchorage three times and there’s a lot to do there. I think you’ll enjoy it some places the weather gets really windy and cold but the beauty of nature is unreal. Enjoy your time. Have fun take a lot of pictures and breathe and all that fresh air. Good luck.
This arrived just in time, I'm taking a sick day. So beautiful, you all are troopers for doing that 18hrs. Hope you're going to make a few stops a long the way. Take Care and Enjoy the Beauty! Thanks for taking us along. ❤

Hope you're feeling better! Glad we could give you some pretty stuff to watch while you were were out 😊 And don't worry, we slow down and enjoy the scenery soon 😍
Alaska is so pretty. I bet she runs better in the cold
"Fairies coming in and out"... I was like huh, oh ferries!!
We went to Fairbanks from Haines as we avoided Anchorage other than to take the bypass. We carried extra diesel fuel, but never needed it as if you stay on marked highways, there are plenty of grocery stores, gas stations, and most anything else you might need. We spent a month and saw most of the road or lake accessible glaciers and other attractions like Denali, the highlight of any Alaska trip. Remote gas stations in many rural areas, US or other countries are like miniature truck stops, having cafes and other items.
Enjoy your time with your brother. Looks like Alaska is a beautiful state and I'm sure you'll be taking us the rest of the way with you. So safe travels my friends! ❤
Road changes with the cold as the permafrost thaws, you can get roads that looks like a wave.
I remember when you got those custom seats! Great color too. They look so comfy and inviting. Amazing drone video from above as always! Mike in Oregon
Alaska is very nice 😊❤. Beware of the mosquitoes 🦟.
This is a crazy awesome trip! Loving every video along the way! 🙂
The intro is beautiful and the scenery is stunning. I am loving your Alaskan Adventure. Best I have seen yet! 👍🏻❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸🙏🏻
The fact that you all traveling so far away from home, makes me think your mom must be doing really well! That’s great news!!! ❤
I am soooo looking forward to this series of Alaska videos. For me AK is bucket-list territory. I've been to Yukon and it's simply stunning.
Anyone who knows about and holds in high regard Doom and (Quake) games is my hero! Eric keeping Doom's memory alive.

My son and grandkids are in Palmer. Stop and say hello. I know the area well. Have fun!
I have been following the channel from the start. I am a professional auto mechanic/technician for over 30 years now old chevy's is what I started on and has always been my thing. That's why I started watching but you guys have a great channel very entertaining.
WOW guys, that’s some amazing landscapes you’ve been through this time. Reminds me a lot of Glencoe on the West Coast of Scotland where I live. Not sure if you’ve been in that part before! Great to see Clementine putting in some serious miles!😂 Looking forward to the next instalment, stay safe guys, love what you do!👍👏👏👏😊❤️🏴🇺🇸

Oggie, I was thinking that exact same thing. I said to my husband , “Hey, instead of going back to Scotland, why don’t we just go to Alaska.” It really looks stunning, and Glencoe is spectacular.
thought yall did some research? in Alaska everyone has chipped windshields, produce is limited, and mosquitos are the size of birds! haha hope yall have the best time.

Just stumbled across your video and was cool seeing places again. Used to live in palmer for a few years. Glad to see more people visiting the area. The mosquitoes are the state bird lol😂😂
What do you mean you see no wildlife! You ran into mosquitoes last night! 😂❤
I got a chip also driving the alcan and used super glue. Worked!
Proud of you two. Taking clementine & ruby traveling 😂👍🇺🇸💯
Welcome to our beautiful country, so awesome my favorite KZread couple is in my country 🙂🙂❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦. Have a safe and fun trip, cheers from Ontario 🇨🇦🍻🍻
Sometimes chips in windshields can be repaired, hopefully you can find someone to fix it for you ❤️😊
On your way back, make sure you stop at the Sign Post forest in Watson Lake Yukon and make a sign with your home town on to put up.
When we drove from Los Angeles to Calgary, BC, Canada in our Tesla Model 3, I got a big giant crack from a rock and in Calgary there was a Rock chip repair station in a mall parking lot, they repaired the big crack for under $50, that was 3 months ago and today the crack repair is holding up great. If you are in Canada, you should see if there is a DECO windshield repair location. Have them fix it quick before it spreads.
That's awesome that Clementine's engine is so much more powerful now
Welcome to Canada. Enjoy travelling vicariously with you.
Alaska and the Klondike have been on my bucket list since forever. So nice to see it from the road, most videos are from the perspective of a sea cruise.
You can get small windshield chips/cracks like that one fixed. It may not look 100% but it sometimes prevents the chip/crack from spreading. Alaska is on my bucket list of places to see. Enjoy and safe travels.
I don't know anything about Anchorage so it's cool to see it! It's greener than I thought it would be
Welcome, Welcome to Alaska! I hope both of you will find my home state unforgettable. Cross fingers, I get to bump into the both of you in Anchorage. Please do a meet and greet!!!
Yay Canada, one of my favourite countries! Just beautiful and the people are so nice
12:54, the road reminds me a little of I-70 through MO without the warning signs.
You guys should invest in a starlink for internet when you all go to more remote spots ❤
These views are something I’d love to see one day for myself! I absolutely love these videos as always, and please go to Canada! I need to see that country!
Destruction Bay is on the shore of Lake Kluane. That beach area you saw is the result of reduced water flow from the A'ay Chu (Slims River), which was composed of meltwater from the Kaskawulsh Glacier. Until 2016, the melt water was abundant and was channeled by ice dam to drain through the A'ay Chu, north to Kluane Lake, and ultimately to the Bering Sea. That year there was an significant retreat to the glacial dam and the majority of the water flow abruptly switched to the Kaskawulsh River, with water flowing flowing east and then south to Alsek River and to the Gulf of Alaska. [Seriously awasome white water rafting on the Alsek River!] As the water levels at Kluane Lake continue to drop, it is expect that it will become a smaller isolated lake.. ... and yes, the roads are terrible... so are the mosquitos... have a great time!
❤❤I was wondering what happened to you guys but I’m happy to see you back. Got my T-shirt and ready for your Alaska adventure .
I miss Alaska so much!!! I told my husband I want to move back but he is a Northern New Mexican desert boy he won’t budge!
So much to do in Alaska!! Make sure to visit Chilkoot Charlie's when you get to Anchorage.
It’s slow and easy wins the race be safe be happy you to work great together enjoying the scenery thank you very much hopefully one of these years I’m going to do it on my bucket list
The mosquitos was looking for your bell pepper 😂😂
So sorry about your windshield. What a bummer. The scenery is just gorgeous.
Alaska is gorgeous (and full of mosquitoes, when it isn’t too cold) - enjoy! Unfortunately, I’m turning into my parents…so part of the time I cannot help but think to myself “didn’t they google the weather in September-October? The weather is going to be changing very soon and they’ll be lucky to get Clementine out before she’s frozen in.”
I‘ll admit, this one is tough for me to watch because the Yukon and Alaska are my next bucket list destinations for North America so I‘m pretty jealous the whole time watching.
The HappilyEverHanks YTC just came back to the states from their Alaska adventure. They went salmon fishing and dog sledding among other things!
My dad broke his axle on that road on his fifth wheel. Be careful. Also, the locals may sell Avons Skin so Soft, the mosquitoes hate it
You all have a sweet naiveness to the world around you. It's so much fun to watch you both.
a few years ago I was a watching a KZread of a guy and his girlfriend and dog traveling in a VW bus and when I saw him in Alaska I was blown away at the amount of mosquitos and the size of them just smaller than hummingbirds. Really enjoyed the Eagle flying was that capture on the drone
Such incredibly beautiful scenery! And Eric, I used to play Doom so much in my young years, lol!!
Good to see Alaska again...was there in 2008. Such a beautiful place. Glad you made it! Enjoyed the video!!!
You guys always put a smile on my face.
Sniffers and I enjoy your channel I gave up rebuilding my Midas Mimi Chevy Rv the engine and transmission are going to live on but the rest is going to the scrap yard thanks for all the ideas though God bless be safe ✝️🇺🇸
Have Fun & Be Safe!! Love you Two!!
You guys are doing an amazing job…and enjoying life as you go. You guys work so well together. A great example of a couple. Wishing you years of joy together in your cabin.
Glad you made it! What a journey!
I bet that ferry would save so much on repairs and headaches! I can't wait to get up to Alaska but we first need to hit more states in the lower 48 first. Hopefully we'll cross paths on the road one day!
Beautiful! Love this trip to Alaska series 👍
What a view!!! Lets goooo>>>>>

We had a couple buy our pickup camper just for the drive from Nebraska to Anchorage and back. I think that is the way to go.
