I have seen two of these new 1300 BMW's. I honestly thought they were V-Stroms. Way too generic looking now. Nonetheless it will be good news for anyone wishing to buy a used 1250. I can see the adverts now: "GS1250 for sale. 1 owner, FSH, only 3 years old with 1,500 miles on the clock, never been off-road, never been further than the local bike meet/Tesco Express. Only selling as upgrading to the new 1300"

I have to say I’m not convinced . I could buy one tomorrow but I just don’t feel the love for it. There’s something not quite right about it, they seem to have lost the presence (on this iteration) that the 1250 has. Maybe the GSA version will bring that back? I have no doubt at all it’s more agile, quicker, more electronics etc, but I just don’t feel the love.

I don't like the look of the 1300. I own a gsa1200 . The 1300 just doesn't look right. Looks like the screen won't offer much wind protection either.

It's looks are growing on me, the screen on the one I rode is the smaller option.

It is indeed rapid!

Well I don’t like it! We are all used to the big imposing GS, the bike all non-GS owners love to hate but those of us who are lucky to have one, it’s a bit like owning a full fat Range Rover. It’s the same feeling one has when riding/driving one. A feeling of safety, comfort and presence. This new one just doesn’t fit the bill! I bet BMW will live to regret this one over time.

Don’t believe all what you hear. This is the first rush from people who have more money than sense. The price kitted out is ridiculous. We will see over time but I’ll not be buying one. For the money I think the Triumph 1200 is a better bike.

How old are you blokes? I'm 66 and my wife thinks I'm to old to be wanting to buy a new bike I have a BMW f 750 Gs and would love a boxer.

My brother bought himself a Rocket3 for his 67th birthday. For my 60th I bought myself a Gen3 Hayabusa. A wife who "thinks" is a dangerous wife......
