Our First Impressions of India / Welcome to Delhi 🇮🇳
FINALLY, we made to India! This trip has been in the planning stage for a long time but today we are flying from Nairobi to Delhi on Qatar Airways, of course.
As soon as we landed to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, we picked up our bags and jumped on the subway which was modern, clean and so convenient and headed to Connaught Place.
First stop, hotel! We decided to stay at The Connaught Hotel which has very nice A/C rooms, a great breakfast buffet and is also in a very good location in New Delhi making it super easy to travel around either by subway or Tuktuk aka rickshaw. That being said a convenient hotel like The Connaught place is not cheap as we paid approximately $235usd a night.

After a little nap, we decided to go explore Delhi on our own for the first time. What a fun afternoon this was! From the tuktuk rides, the friendly people, the beautiful monuments like the India Gate and of course the FOOD, this was a great first taste of what we can expect for the rest of our trip around India.

Born and brought up in Kenya but been working in india for the past four years. Agree with the driving part as after driving in India for a few years when I go back home to Kenya for holidays most consider my driving crazy. India makes you fit a car or motorcycle in any space you find.

What you had at the end of dinner was: 1) Green seeds are - Fennel seeds used as mouth freshener 2) On the toothpick - Jaggery (cleans your mouth after eating) Both are good for digestion and cleaning teeth off food

Pro-tip! When travelling to India from Kenya, buy an AirTel line, which should work seamlessly throughout India. The extremes of India will surprise you, from the super posh to the very low down. Excellent vlog, music was on point...😎❤💯

Great video! Next time your in India you have to see the wildlife, seeing Tigers is thrilling and nerve wrackingly awesome(because you never know when you will see one). Id recommend Ranthambore national park or Tadoba National park

India has everything : great beaches ( Goa, Andaman n Nicobar), beautiful mountains( Kashmir, Ladakh, Dharsmshala, Manali Ooty etc), desert( Jaisalmer n beautiful Rajasthan) , and lush greenery( Kerala), Nagaland, sikkim and list go on n on..... Someone has said , wasting time in Delhi. I am Delhtei, and it is we people who make a city or country good or bad. Delhi has good food... Always bargain if you are in India. Always say 70 % to 80% of actual price. Enjoy your trip...
