let me explain to you lot something , I have travelled around the world, traditional jamicans look like lippy and the other guy , not like kdot or even the white guy, bob marley is not a traditional looking jamican he is mixed race , a irish mother, when I went to jamaica most people looked like typical black west africans, which is what they should look like when they got dropped off, same thing with ethiopia somalia and those countries, leave the city or the rich area where the mixed people are with softer hair, or not so strong black features, go to all the other places out of the city, and they again they look the normal typical black looking people. So it is sad to see the 2 guys on here that look more jamaican are acting like they forgot there roots, kdot is not a representation of jamicans, if kdot can be jamican the white guy is jamican aswell, if you use that logic

Not gonna beat mdot for his talent but there is a difference with us Jamaican accepting the rest of world. 1 we are the kindest people to anyone than our own but music / dancehall fans don’t just let anyone in. Now my question is which show in Jamaica did Mdot performed and the patron say yes “him bad” ? Name of shows please. Frankly speaking Jamaican that mdot met in Jamaica see him as a KZreadr /cooking 🤷‍♂️.

those here in Britain would have gravitated to Jada especially the females simply because the passa would have resinated more as they would more in tune with the controversial bullets that Jada was sending and it was maaaaad entertaining to the masses where as Steph was sending killer shots very cleverly that only those on the ground would understand, "the Foota & Fully bad reference that R. highlighted was CRAZY" that shit went over 90% of uk's head. so Steph was disadvantaged simply because uk was so caught up in the slander they wasn't paying attention to the actual lyrical gymnastics, the Jamaicans mostly females are just crazy loyal and biased. the Mandem on both sides of the pond was so intrigued and excited by the fact that two ABSOLUTE beautiful & talanted females are going mad on each other it was like some fantasy ting (mud wrestling vibe) its like they couldn't vote. so Jada won on the popularity vote as the dancehall streets (females in particular) just love her & she sexy as F*#k but Steph 1million% won the the lyrical battle & I don't believe theres any doubt. great vibes for the culture either way

So cringy having seen him spitting grime in a normal london accent as a teenager few years ago, i can hear it sneaking in when he talks and how it wears off when his mind stops trying.

Because thats normal when its not your native tongue. I can tell you've never learnt a second language before. You dont employ it all the time or know it back to front. My friend moved to his parents country after being in UK three years from him born. He then moved back to UK as a teen and stayed another couple years. Just that interruption to his mother native tongue he now has issues with certain parts of his mother tongue despite living back in Asia for 15 years now. To me this is down to ignorance and racism. M.Dot speaks the same way as his surroundings. English and Jamaican patois. Nawmal.

You think me calling out cultural appropriation is racism🤣 who even mentioned his race?? hes fake its as sinple as that, he doesnt even talk like that these days which is why you can here him slip back to a his actual accent, embracing culture is one thing but abusing it is another

@@djfranticgu so why do you think he shouldnt be speaking patois/making reggae if not for his race? I dont know why you'd assume he is fake for. "Abusing culture"... 😂 Is that like "words are violence"? And not speaking as much patois these days doesnt mean he was fake when he spoke more. I speak less patois these days as I am used to code-switching at work and online and for my foreign mates. It depends how much time you spend around it as to how much youre likely to be used to using it. If those influences drop off or the ppl who understand it arent there you will use it less so as to be understood by those you move with. And if he uses it less now wouldnt that mean he isnt being fake now like ppl claim?

I always get what I expected from this lot especially lippy. Whether I agree or not, I know where they are gonna stand. It is a gimmick. Vanilla Ice vibes. All this catering and pandering is why the culture is too open like a dam swinging door.
