    Hey guys! My family and I stopped into the shop early last week while visiting from the Chicago area. I was in awe at the store and the service my brother in law and I received from Griff was top notch. It was awesome to meet you guys and see where all the magic happens. My brother in law stopped back a second time without telling me (what an asshole) but you have a customer for life with me and I can't wait to start throwing some of these Megabass lures I scooped up. You'll be seeing an order from me again soon!

    Griff definitely sticks to his guns, I respect it. I have way too much fishing ADHD to just throw one topwater and then go straight to the bottom, or only throw one jig trailer. I have confidence baits but i’ll also throw the whole damn tackle box 😂

    Bartlett top water is absolutely fire right now right before sunset. Go around here (33.87945, -111.61334) and there's an island you can wade out to and fish off. Cast toward the buoys and slay the bass. Great fun for kids. Kids were throwing 2-3" swimbaits with a ton of scent on it with 1/4oz jigheads on light (1000series/8lbs test mono) spinning gear and adults had 3" top water poppers. Dropshot when the top water isn't blowing up, in ~50' from a boat 8-10" dropshot on 3/16-1/4oz with 4-6" curly tail worms. You might get some up on the shore/shallower, but they're small and sparse. They're deep when it's bright/hot.

    I love watching videos that show how other fisherman are catching them. My best baits this spring were the senko, chatterbait, whopper plopper., lipless cranks. It's been hot af lately so summer fishing has been a little difficult . Been using the WP still, also now using a weighted wacky rig 1/16 With a senko or 6th sense clout

  • @Tbowie13

    @Tbowie13

    3 жыл бұрын

    I'm not the H.U.T., but I fish both alot. I use the Magdraft and Magslowl for individual "trophy" fish because of their larger size, and drawing power. But when bass are schooling and after a baitball in a "specific size" I use the spark and Hazedong shad, with a flashyspinner or Okashira screwhead to, make them stand out from the rest of the thousands of baitfish (at times though, they prefer just the Okashira head, without the screw). But both are "finesse" type presentations IMO, just different scenarios. Anyhow, thats how I use them.

  • @skipdockside

    @@gstixfishing9746 You are a complete waste of my time, but let me educate you a bit. Statistically speaking, bending out the hook of a frog GREATLY increases hook up ratio, I dont care if you're KVD - the ratio will only go up. However its at the sacrifice of landing ratio. Therefore; If you are in open water, or fishing edges of cover and you have very little to get in the way of landing your fish (no thick weeds, no reeds, no logs to wrap around.) it is ABSOLUTELY ideal to bend out your hooks. On the contrary, if you're in thick cover, you cant sacrifice that landing ratio. As I said : Time and place. If you weren't such an arrogant little prick, sitting around on the internet running his mouth instead of studying - you would already know this. My question was for Griff, another angler with ACTUAL experience and knowledge of the sport, about a frog you cant afford. Go back to your pond, and maybe start approaching conversations with the understanding that you clearly don't know the ins and the outs of this sport. Next time that lesson is gonna cost you a grand.
