The Zeiss look is an industry standard. So many features, shorts and series have been shot on Zeiss. You mentioned zooms for documentary work, which zoom lenses do you like for this?

Thank you! What do you think of those Zeiss Nano Primes?

They look amazing! Really excited to try them out. For now we will certainly stick with our Milvus for everyday work-you can get them quite affordably if you're willing to be patient and buy good used copies. The Nano Primes are beautiful lenses but will be a LOT pricier.

@@loreagency Thank you for a swift response. It would be very interesting to see the results of your tests. They do look like well-built lenses, with solid Zeiss quality. In the UK the highest price for a single lens is 4000GBP. Note that some within the line-up are more expensive than others. Regarding the Milvus Super Speeds, they seem to be big and unwieldily, well for my cameras anyway: Nikon Zf and Nikon Z9. I was interested in the 1.4/85mm, but it'll look like a monster on my Zf. I have opted to buy the classic 1.4/85mm Planar T* instead.

@@---us7qf Definitely well built, they feel like tanks for their size. Agree with the size and weight as well compared to the SS's, I can travel with all these easily in a small carry on Pelican case. The classics are fantastic lenses, a couple of the Milvus being just rehoused versions of those-very difficult to improve upon. Most of them do have new designs though.

Just a small side note: 35mm is NOT how human sees things; On full frame 55-58mm is; mainly because this focal length renders distance in a manner very close to how we preserve distance in real world.

    Correct, it is 35mm when on a Super35 sensor...effectively 53mm.
