Considering Armenia is mostly of the R1b haplogroup, plus that R1b's homeland is Northern Mesopotamia and they later spread from this region, then becoming prominent in Germanic tribes, I think there could be a tie between Urartu and the Æsir- Vanir Myth. Have you guys looked into this or made a video on it? I find it interesting that Cimmerians/Scythians (who are partial ancestors of the Germanic tribes and contribute to their R1A/R1B prominence) dwelled in the regions such as the Sea of AZov, AZerbaijan, ASia minor, etc. They contributed to the fall of Urartu, which was centered around Lake VAN. Is it possible these Urartians (or their predecessors) are referred to as the VANir? Vanaheim was left in ruins following the war between the Aesir and the Vanir, and Urartu was for a shortwhile as well. "In the second half of the seventh century B.C., every Urartian site known from excavations in Anatolia, Iran, and the Caucasus were destroyed, and judging from artifact evidence, closely in time to one another." These were all Indo-European people who were in fact seen as demi-gods by many people they encountered. They are the ancient Aryan bloodlines who branch into the Indo-Europeans and Indo-Aryans. The Æsir and Vanir were two opposing groups of Gods, who were also ancestors to the later Germanics. Could R1a represent the Æsir, and R1b the Vanir, with them merging into Germanic tribes? Is there any correlation to Freya in ancient Armenia that you know of? I know Van was originally called Chauon, but I have no clue how thats pronounced in Armenian. If its anything like Gaelic, the sounds could be completely different than how its read in english. Is this the case or was it pronounced as ch? Id appreciate any response. Thanks guys!

Hi Liam. Thanks for dropping some amazing knowledge on us. This is very very interested. To be honest, we have not looked in to the genealogy but we did have Yeghishe from People of Ar on our show who is very knowledgeable. He did touch on this. We recommend reaching out to him as he might be able to shed some light on this. Thanks again for the support.
