Hi Jeff, we bought the 2-bike One Up carrier with their RakAttach 2.0 swing out mount. Highly recommend that as you clear the Owl tire carrier or box and it swings out quickly to allow access to open both rear doors without removing the bikes. Cheers!

Hey there! Glad you posted this comment! We are literally about to buy the RakAttach 2.0 swing out mount. I’d love to hear more about your impression. Can you open the doors fully? Does it rattle or jiggle much? Any draw backs? Thank you!

@@conandal Hi there. We love it. It is rock solid and doesn’t rattle at all. The unit has a pin and latch that allow easy access to the van garage. If you don’t have bikes on it you can leave it in stowed, upright position which mates perfectly with the owl tire carrier. The right rear door wont swing out past 90 degrees with bikes mounted but that’s ok. When you remove the bikes you can lower the racks all the way down and that lets you open both doors fully without hitting the rack. There is an adjustment bolt on the red latch that was too short so I called them and they sent me a longer one. I would suggest you do that when you order it. If we had a box on the right door I would consider mounting the 1-up on top of the box instead of the hitch.

Have you had any experience with a front mounted e-bike rack on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van?

Hi, I just bought the 1UP Xtreme Duty rack for my ebike. Like yours, my bike has fenders. For the front wheel, the fender isn't an issue. However, on the rear wheel, the fender goes further down. Although my rack goes maybe an inch or so higher than yours, I'm a bit worried it might not be in an optimal position. Do you find it secure enough? Ever had any issues? Thanks For ebikes, the 1UP Super Duty rack is limited at 75 lb per tray. Most ebikes are 70 lb and up. Mine is 76 lb without the battery. So I didn't want to risk it with my Super Duty. That's why I recently got the 1UP Xtreme Duty rack.

It seems to hold it secure even with the fender, but I ended up trimming the fender by about 2" so that the bar sits higher on the tire.

@@OurThrivingLife why did you do that?

@@OurThrivingLife the more I look at the rack, I notice the main purpose is to compress the bike from the sides, to hold it in place. It's not specifically made to stop it from moving forward or backward. So I think as long as we respect 1UP's recommendations in the image provided in the instructions, we are safe. They show the correct angle where the arms should go on the wheels.
